    Morning,
It’s a lovely day here today in Yorkshire but a little chilly

I managed a very short walk yesterday (Plantar Fasciitis) and to look at xmas decorations but resting In between, just looked and got ideas it was nice.

Think I will make fudge for bonfire night my OH said 70 pounds is to expensive for the luxury of having toffee which is true because I made the nigellas hokey pokey and lost a crown .

Hugs for every one who needs one

Just going to potter about at home then watch Strictly Come Dancing and the royal tonight

    Bye

    morning all,

bright and beautiful here today, very warm, heating has not been on for over a week, not sure what we are up to today, but I am sure we will fit a walk in somewhere.

Got roast lamb for lunch, with roast pots and roast squash, and veg yum.
Then this afternoon will veg out on sofa and watch star wars with some chocs :T

mrs mix, hugs to you, my little ,dog hates the fireworks too, but she is quite small, and will not get on your lap when the firworks are going off, she just wants to be alone, we got her a large box from lidl, with a lid on and she gets in it, and we put the lid on, with a blanket over the top, she will only come out once they have stopped.

Scuzz, I think its time to give up on this bloke, reading between the lines I think he is saying he is not interested, do not make any more contact with him, and if he contacts you ignore him, make him do the chasing, if he does not contact you, well then he is not worth your time, do you really want to be with a bloke like this ?, hold your head up high and walk away, you are worth so much more than him. And one day you will find the right one, and you will wonder why you wasted so much time on these idiots (talking from experience there ), hope you feel brighter soon x hugs xx

sorry lecture over :D , hugs to all those in need today.

    xx

Hi Y'all, damp, grey and very cold here in the emids. I shall enjoy my walk to church this morning past all the fields shrouded with mist, it always reminds me of "Five go to Smugglers Top" LOL.

Not much planned here at Chez MATH once lunch is out of the way. I plan to repair the outdoor Christmas lights which I lopped through during an over enthusiastic pruning attack on the jasmin and honeysuckle a few months back:rolleyes:. Mrs MATH is making noises about getting new lights after falling under the spell of one of the Ideal World presenters touting rope lights:rolleyes: so ths fear of actually spending money has got me reaching for the wire strippers and duck tape to cobble a repair:D After this flurry of action I plan to snuckle down with my cats and a good book for an hour or so until church this evening.

    Lunch:
Pork & Bramley Sausages with Red Onion Gravy
    Roast potatoes & Parsnips
    Steamed Carrots & Broccoli
    Yorkshire Puddings

Eton Mess (sort of, using summer fruit from the freezer)

PP - Great to see you sounding brighter:T

Donny-Gal I have this prob with one of the MATHLETTS feet but in the fold of the toes not the heals. The best thing I've used is good ol Vaseline, slathered on with an old pair of sock on top overnight. The trick is to treat little and often, but then of course you know that...

Mrs flittersnoop - ooohhh Chrimbo Pudding a fav at Chez MATH - we eat them all year round, enjoy the lovely smells that will escape the steamer

Mrs Mix - My parents dog (Westie) has to be tranqued to the eye balls to get through bonfire night. No so bad now shes old and a bit deaf but they always dread this time of year.

Ivyleaf - You rest ya thrusters ready for GS detail during the week

Gotta go, have a good Sunday

morning, no time to read the thread as I'm leaving for work in about 5 mins so I hope you are all well!

Got up early and went to a carboot, got a nice M&S Fleece for work.
Will be at work till 10pm so no OS for me.

Have a lovely day all, catch up tomorrow!
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Natzini-Thanks Hun...brilliant:T

    MATH-I luv ya:D

Churchmouse-Dont think it would be very ethical if I put down name of Hotel, but it is in Kent. Prices range to £1800 per night:eek:       I wouldnt personally spend more than £200 for a night away. Ive spent nights away at London Hotels and TBH they were obscene prices. Ive always liked The Hilton chain and although still quite expensive, more value for money. I must say that work always footed the bill:D

BargainRzl-Glad the mini meet went well.

    Morning everyone :hello:

I'm supposed to be planning for the week ahead, but I thought I'd better pop on here first and say hi! DH has popped out to look at new cars - he's getting a company car so he's got to find one that he likes (within a specific criteria, you understand :D). He also claims that he's got "man flu". He managed to survive yesterday at the rugby - just!

I'm really annoyed with myself. I bought a new pair of jeans in the week because mine were getting too big . I tried them on in the shop and they fitted - only for me to put them on yesterday and them being practically round my ankles when I was walking around town. Of course, every shop I went into (it's a v small town with 3 clothes shops) didn't sell a belt......... Note to self, only buy jeans when you are a size 8. I'm now wondering whether they sell size 15 clothes as I'm not a 14 and I (now know) I'm not a 16! Grrrrr. :o

Anyway, I'd better get on with my planning. We're due an HMI visit any day now, so it needs to be pretty good!

    Bye for now

  • Morning all  ( well it still was when I started typing!)

Just popped on quickly mainly to say ((((((((((hugs))))))))) to Scuzz. I know that its really easy to say and hard to do but you do deserve so much better, so get your phone and delete his number. Start looking after yourself and doing the things you want to do.... use your fire walking training girl, if you can walk over hot coals you can do anything and any man that messes you around should realise who he's dealing with! :D:D

Right off to try and find a new laptop, I think that this one is on its last legs and I can't afford to be without it currently with all of the college work I have

May try and do some ironing later in a bid to be a little OS today, but in my defence I did do loads yesterday

    Have fun and keep smiling

    Afternoon all,

mrs mix, sorry to hear your joints are playing up.
Aussie, perhaps twink got the spell wrong and has sent a plague of flies instead of locusts! :D
Mrs Flittersnoop, I was so sorry to read about your friend. <<Hugs>>
scuzz, I wouldn’t contact the bloke again…let him get in touch with you.
    Shez, enjoy your day out.
Penny Pincher, £900 for a night in a hotel! You’re very lucky to have such good friends. :)
Bargain Rzl, I’m glad you enjoyed the meet.
Jackie O, Good to hear from you, I'm glad you’re feeling a bit brighter.

Well, we had a rude awakening this morning….a call from dd in Spain to say that her bag was stolen last night. At least she had listened to us and had only taken a little cash out with her and had left her passport in the apartment, so all she’s lost is the bag, her phone, some makeup, 30 euros and a spare pair of shoes.

We made a quick call to block the sim card and the phone but lets hope whoever has taken it haven’t run up a big bill since last night as we will be liable for any calls made before it was reported. :o Thankfully she’s fine and still enjoying herself. If this is the worst thing that happens then I’ll be happy. Roll on Tuesday when she’ll be home again! :j

I’m off to see my Dad and Step-mum shortly and then we’re going to take the little one out this afternoon. Normally I cook a roast on a Sunday, but I decided to do it yesterday because I’ve been finding lately we never do much on a Sunday because everything has to be planned round the meal. So tonight it will be raclette which is easily thrown together and everyone can cook their own.

I thought my chest infection had cleared up towards the end of last week but the pain came back yesterday with a vengeance. The boys are back to school tomorrow after half term so there will be lots of sorting and preparation for that. I do feel bad that I have been too ill to do much with them this week, but there’ll be other half terms.

I hope you’re all having a good day.

Glad to hear Pen Pin & JackieO are both feeling better.
Scuzz have you ever read a book called 'He's just not that into you' It's definately worth a read, I can't remember the author, but will look it up for you if you want. I'm afraid with men 'treat em mean, keep em keen' seems to be the best advice, I gave the same advice to my tearful lodger yesterday, she seems to be having boyfriend problems. when he phoned up for her yesterday he couldn't even remember her name!
Nothing much going on here, went to buy a kettle earlier as ours had stopped working, £4.50 from Tesco.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

Pink-winged, take care of yourself, that's an order! You need to see the Doc if the pain's returned, sounds like the infection is back. ((((((hugs)))))) Poor DD, that's a rotten thing to happen. Glad she's not letting it spoil the holiday though. Despite carting half my possessions around in my bag at her age, I don't recall ever having spare shoes in there:rotfl:

PP go on, do tell what hotel it is:cool: OK then you can spill the beans AFTER the wedding, I can understand you might feel you've given too much info to do it before.:D  I didn't know we had anywhere that posh and exclusive in Kent. Always thought the Dorchester was supposed to be one of the most expensive. Somewhere to aspire to. Actually I wouldn't spend that even if I had it, would prefer a weeks holiday somewhere instead:o

    CM xx
