    Morning :hello:

Nipped up briefly to the MSE Arms mini meet in Birmingham yesterday and had lunch with my lovely friends Ticklemouse and Nelski :hello: and made two new lovely friends - Quackers and pandas66.

I've had a mad couple of weeks - the last time I had a night in was Wednesday last week  It was brilliant but consequently I'm knackered, and I've spent not only all the cash I had budgeted to cover the extras I knew I would have, but ALL the other spare cash I had for this month (and it's only the 4th :o) so it's just as well that this week coming up is going to be a really quiet one. I'm looking forward to some time to myself, some early nights and a tidy flat...

I hope I've got the energy to go for a swim this afternoon, though I have a little suspicion that my body might be crying out for an afternoon nap by the time I finish church :o

Speaking of which, I must be off and get ready for church...

Have a lovely day everybody, and a big hug if you need one :)

    Love Rzl xx

    Hiya everyone.
How are you all?? Good i hope.

Well we had a few fireworks last night as some of our friends had been given some and they came to ours to let them off as their garden is to small, the kids all enjoyed them and i made them all hot dogs and mushy peas and mint sauce. Only was outside ofr about 25 mins then came in and watched x-factor. But at least now the kids cant say we didnt do anything for bonfire weekend!!

Todays plans, 2 footy matches, food shopping, uniforms to iron, general tidy up and hang some new curtains in the dinning room. Also loads of ebay parcels to wrap up. Tea later is bangers and mash, veg , yorkshires and onion and musroom gravy!

    Hugs to everyone.

    Morning all!

Well, I'm absolutely shattered but can't sleep as the kid downstairs is up-and once he's up there's no chance of sleeping through his noise. So I'm going to have a nice, theraputic bath with some muscle soak as I def will be needing it. Yesterday was good (some girls in my group messed around a lot so we couldn't stop for a posh hot choc aka coffee shop hot choc with them and then they all decided that because of that, they hated me... 12 year olds, eh?!) but now I'm feeling the brunt of it-I'm tired and ache all over. So, it's an easy one for me today-will cook up some mash, Twinks, and some soup and just chill out the rest of the day.
PenPin-I thought of you and found this

Just going to bath and then going to have a nosey around the boards.

Hugs to all those who need/want.

    Have a peaceful Sunday.

    Good morning all!

It's a beautiful morning here in London, and still really mild:D

Church soon, and as I'm on coffee rota this morning I shan't get home until 12.30 ish. If I'm lucky DH will start the ironing while he watches some of *his* DVDs.:D It's amazing how much he can plough through while watching mindless drivel:rotfl:

Last night while I sat watching TV, the most enormous spider suddenly crawled out from under a cupboard:eek: DH and I played *catch the b*gger* for about 20 minutes, while it ran from hiding place to hiding place. But we got it in the end:D Trouble is, Aussie mentioned spiders having babies to Haribo a couple of days ago, and now I can't think of anything else:rotfl: So as I sit here my eyes are darting back and forth around the room, expecting a gang of little ones to emerge:rolleyes: You've a lot to answer for, Aussie:naughty:

This has taken forever to write, keep getting interrupted, so I'll post now and hope to get back later:D

(((hugs))) to all who need them. Hope the joints stay moving mrs mix, mine have been really good for over a week now. (need a fingers crossed smilie there!) I so admire you, the way you endure it. Hoping the op will work out well for you. Not too long now, is it?

    CMxx

Wow PP, that's some posh wedding!!! What hotel is that, you can stay at the Dorchester for those prices, and as for the Savoy and the Ritz, they're way cheaper:rotfl: As for how I know? We foolishly thought we might treat son and dil to a night when they were going to a show:eek: Needless to say we didn't:rotfl:

    Morning All

Very depressed and hating myself for being so. Still hung up on bloke. Did get a text from him yesterday but still no new date fixed. I texted him first asking how he was, he said tired and asked what I was doing. I did reply,l but heard nothing more.

Had a DVD Day yesterday. Curled up in front of the TV with some classic chick flicks - which depressed me further!:rotfl: Debating texting him again and asking him out for a coffee. Dunno

Need to get to the shops soon, as running low on things like shampoo. Thankfully all the boiler replacement work is nearly done and we now have heating again at home. Still waiting for some good news on my flat. It's getting beyond a joke now. Beginning to think I'm not meant to have anything go right for me and I'm going to be miserable forever. After the year I've had, surely it's time for the tables to turn?

Sorry to rant, but really am feeling very very low

  • Good morning everyone

Had a really busy day yesterday - took DD and 2 friends to Frankie and Benny's for lunch - £70  Then to the cinema - £32  Then to Krispy Kreme - £33  Then to the fireworks display - free 'cos we watched it from outside the field ;) It's her 9th birthday tomorrow, hence the reason for the massive overspend yesterday, honestly I don't know how familes of 5 do it  It makes me so glad I've only got one child. Anyway a great day was had by all, but consequently nothing got done yesterday and today is mammoth clean up, wash, dry, iron, make bread etc etc day - oh and BIL and co are coming round later to give DD her pressie. All I want to do is carry on knitting my Santa - stamps feet like a toddler :D

Anyway I'm about to jump in the bath and get dressed and tackle the massive ironing pile whilst watchin Strictly Come Dancing.

    PennyPincher - glad you're feeling better :T

    Massive (((((hugs))))) all round
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning all!

Just a quick post as I've got to get ready for church in a min.

Penny-Pincher!! - So glad to hera you are feeling better this morning! Your chickens look lovely.

Churchmouse - we've not had much trouble with spiders so far this autumn....have had daddy-long-legs though, really hate them! Yuck! Thanks for the PM, will try to reply later today.

Mrs Mix - your poor dog! Hope you have a quiet evening today at any rate.

Jockettuk - so pleased for you that the builders have nearly finished! Our house needs loads of work including new kitchen but I just can't face the upheaval.

natzini - sorry you are so weary this morning, hope the bath helped!

joannasmum - so sorry about your cat ((hugs))

mioliere - thinking of you and your DH.

MrsMcawber - whenever i read your posts I think how much I could have done with a friend like you when I was a young and clueless Army wife in the 1970s!:D I didn't even know how to cook when we were first married.:o I remember saying to my Mum that I wished she'd made me help more in the kitchen. she said she supposed she should have, but that I always seemed to have so much homework (which is true) that she felt I had quite enough to do.

Scuzz - (((HUGS))) Sorry you feel so low, hope you feel better soon.

apologies to those I haven't mentioned, will be thinking of my OS friends today.

I think dinner will be gammon.

Other than cooking, will be resting as much as poss to get myself geared up to help with DGS this week, as the midwife has ordered DD2 to rest as much as possible and DGS is never still - though actually he did get onto the sofa with me for a cuddle on Friday while DD was at antenatal, so that was really nice!:D

Will pop back later to catch up. Must go now and have something to eat!

  • Morning everyone

DG Its so frustrating to be let down by people - especially when you have wasted a whole day waiting for them to turn up. That happened to me recently too so I know exactly how you feel.
Pen-Pin glad you are feeling better - long may it continue. My DD (11) is a HUGE Michael Jackson fan (we tend not to mention his personal life ;) ) and has most of his albums. She does a great moonwalk too. :D
mrs mix hope the joints improve for you.
Jockett it would be nice if all those people you have helped in the past came together to help you. This may be a good way of finding out who your real friends are. BTW I am sooo jealous of you having a new bathroom. I badly need mine replacing but just don't have the funds for it. :(
Shez enjoy the exhibitions. I would love to see both of them but by the time we add train fares, hotel stays, food, etc, it's just too expensive.
(((hugs)))) to anyone I haven't mentioned or who needs/wants one.

It's another sunny day here so I'm going to clear out all the dead plants from the growbags, planters, etc and take them to the recycling centre. Of course I need to sweep up all the leaves from next door's apple tree too. So that's my morning taken care of.

Need to do some cooking today in preparation for next week as we have a few busy afternoons after school. May have to work some extra hours this week too, which will come in handy as I need the extra money for Christmas.

    Have a sunny Sunday. xx

  • :D Morning Chums,
feeling quite jaunty this morning as I had a lovely 7 hour sleep ,first one in months. Looking out of the window I see the sun is shining and the sky is trying to be almost blue in patches. What glorious weather for November. my heating bills will be nice and low this quarter as I still only put the heating on for the odd hour in the evening if it gets chilly. i had a new boiler fitted last year and some new insulation and my house is always nice and warm.I was sitting in a tee-shirt yesterday afternoon.
Had a good day yesterday pickedup the new Mark Billingham book from the library for my DD which I sat and read from cover to cover. She can have it now I have read it !!
Last night I watched Strictly Come Dancing, must admit I have never seen a paso doble danced in a kilt before ,very bizarre, but quite energetic and very brave.
Watched the second part of Britz on more 4, it didn't finish until gone midnight so probably why I had a good long sleep.
Am going to my youngest DD's this afternoon for lunch, and fireworks after supper.

I have my sis-in-law arriving tomorrow for a few days, and we will have our early Christmas this week, as she is off to Dubai for 2 months over Christmas and New Year Can't bring myself to put up the dekkies yet though.

<<<Hugs>>> to those in need and a big :D to the rest of you. After feeling so crook for so long, I am really feeling good at the moment. I know I will come down with a crash as my chemo kicks in, but I am making the most of it whilst I can.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
have a good Sunday everyone, onwards and upwards:beer:
