I was on a really good deal with Eon but when it ended, their alternative rates were too high Now two years on, my fixed deal elsewhere is coming to an end and this one came up on a comparison site. I might be returning to the fold0

Hi Malc,
Yes, all good with me, thank you.
Pleased you are well but sorry to hear Helena is unwell, hope she is back on top form soon.
Always happy to help anyone if I can. Feel sorry for folks who are not able, for whatever reason, to look for more competitive deals for themselves.
Sounds like your mother and my father-in-law could be good pals!
Thanks for the good wishes Malc; you too of course
Best wishes,
Tracey
Morning Tracey,
Thank you very much for the well wishes.
I'm back and much better thank you, Malc is glad I'm here to bring his morning coffee
Have a lovely day.

I was transferred over to Octopus variable whose rates are much higher so I've switched to Bulb variable until 11 November when they, too, are increasing their rates.
E.ON are now back on my radar with their fixed Go Online 1 Year V18 which will save me around £90 a year, so I'm hoping it will still be available come the middle of October.
Morning beardiedog and glad you're interested in our Go Online v18 product. As andreww111 says, some of our tariffs don't always stay on sale for long. I don't know how long version 18 will be available. It depends on the take-up.

andreww111 wrote: »I was also with eon until they dropped their cheaper tariffs
I recently moved to Bulb but they have recently done an increase which for me (Yorkshire) seems to be a lot more than 11%
I was pleased to see E.ON seem to be doing these cheaper tariffs again
I transferred more or less straightaway because I seem to remember in the past that they sometimes don't keep these tariffs on for longandreww111 wrote: »similar here. I moved to SSE and then for a very short time with Bulb before their big price increase. I liked the EON Website and the availability of EON Representatives on the forums
Morning andreww111 and welcome back.
Pleased you like the website and our presence on the Forums. You know where we are if you need us.

Thanks Malc, hopefully it will, I'll keep a watch on CEC.
The £60 exit fee will be a factor in my decision though. In these uncertain times it may be necessary to switch more often.0 -

You're welcome beardiedog. Happy to help.
Totally understand your reasoning around exit fees. Let me know if you need any more information.

Coming back to E.ON after Bulb decided to up their prices for the second time since only joining them back in May, this V18 tariff just arrived at the right time and it around £115 cheaper a year than Bulb's prices after this latest rise.
I know prices can go down as well as up on a variable but the way Bulb is going i don't see any price drops coming anytime soon, at the time E.ON didn't have any good deals on when my fix was ending and Bulb was the cheapest, but with hindsight going forward i think i will still with fixes, at least its only once a year you need to find your best deal and for that 12 months you know you can't get any rises like these 30% price rises on gas that Bulb are trying to pull.
I didn't have any issues before with E.ON and their website, meter readings, bills etc were all easy enough to work, plus any issues or questions all you had to do was post here and the E.ON reps would always answer and give you the relevant information you were looking for.0 -

Hi Helena,
You are very welcome.
Great to hear you are up and running again. I had hoped Malc might make yours as you need to take it easy after being poorly!
Thanks for the good wishes, look after each other team E.ON!
Very best wishes,

Bit of feedback for Helena or Malc to pass up the chain.
Applied for my switch on the 12th and got confirmation from the CEC but heard nothing from E.ON.
Knowing that tariffs (particularly good ones - as this one was for me) have a limited availability, I was a bit anxious when I heard nothing from E.ON (especially with another MSE user posting today about the CEC letting them down) so I contacted live chat.
I spoke to James who confirmed the switch request had been received and actioned, but that it would be 14 days before it shows on the account, so all's good there :money:
But it would be nice to get a quick email from E.ON directly saying something along the lines of "We've received your request, please allow 14 days for it to be reflected on your account" It only occurred to me to suggest this after I closed the survey, so I'm posting it here.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Hi Malc / Helena,
I've recently initiated a switch to E.On. Similar to others here, I've been with E.On before. Can I used my previous login details rather than create a new account online? Thanks in advance.0
