I don't think I'd dare read signed first edition TPs. And I've never been one for getting books purely to have them (I will admit I love to look at and touch my leatherbound gilt-edged hardback Lovecraft collection, but while it's nice it's not too valuable to read.) I do read them as they are for me and not for investment you can pick up a hardback 1st edition (not signed) for around twenty quid - my daughter will have them when I die and will read them too.
I'm not dissing your book collection - whether they're an investment or just make you happy, that's cool. Just not my thing. this is fine, each to their own On the other hand, I'm genuinely sorry to say that I have to inhume you for mixing round and curly brackets.
Lol - my computer keyboard is being erratic and sometimes the round brackets work and sometimes they don't, so ended up mixing and matching - I apologise“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex

Can I have one of those? And can you get the words live, love, laugh, moon and back, hunni and special snowflake in there somewhere as well?

My house was built in the sixties so its a bit of a nod to that, and I actually love them.0 -

I've just bought a house with what I describe as a four-poster avocado bath.
Imagine a bath in a corner, with the roof over the bath lowered and a column of tiles in the open corner. The end of the bath has an arch of tiles.
If the listing is still visible on Zoopla stick it on the 'have a look at this' thread!0 -

When I was trying to sell my place, most of the feedback on this forum focused on how sparse the place looked and how I needed to make it look more homely and lived in (i.e. ornaments, throws, decoration). I don't have a lot of this stuff because I can't stand clutter and tat for the sake of tat, but bought some bits on this advice and it did seem to make a difference to viewers' feedback..
Of course it all went straight to the charity shop when we moved :rotfl:0 -

Estate agent photos weren't very good. Mine aren't much better, but are here and here.
This is in a 280 year old listed building.
Apologies that google photos links didn't work. I've now uploaded photos to imgur and redone links.0 -
To all those on this page linking .... we can't see anything.
Etsy: that link is to login and would only show your account

Here on the south coast there is no lower end! In our road of a mix of social and ex-council terraces (£250K+) there are artists, archaeologists, teachers, social workers, etc. none of whom to my knowledge have such tat.0
