    Morning folks

Not to sound like a suspicious person but is skr1107 a real person or do we have a bot on the thread? Their post is just a copy of mine re: gloves and they only have 4 posts. To give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they had trouble with the quote function?

Big hugs to anyone who needs them. Esp thinking of DNMS, Foxgloves and ccl

    Hello lpp

Back in work today but I seem to have run myself ragged over the weekend. I'm completely shattered. Even the soles of my feet hurt
The garden has been tidied up a bit, as has the house. I've managed to put all the clean washing away (even the household linens) and I did a mega load of vegetable sorting out so that it's all prepped/cooked for through the week and beyond.

OH at a wedding fair today so hopefully will drum up some work.

Weather here is pretty grim too but at least I'm in work!

    Today's list:

    • B/L/D from stores
    • Made a packed lunch for OH so he doesn't need food at the wedding fair - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Ask OH to run hoover over the main drag as he didn't do any last week
    • Send question to raveler re glove pattern. The thumb seems very small - the gauge is 12st per 4" (so 3 st per 1") and the thumb is skip 6 st - so only 2" circumference. This would be pretty tight on me and it's supposed to be a large men's glove. - done
    • Continue glove
    • Reconcile budget sheet - no outstanding transactions!
    Have a good one all

    Afternoon all :)

Got back yesterday from a few days away by the sea in our camper van :)
Kept the faith, took most food with us and main spend was the camp site, now off-peak season so a bit cheaper.
Car booting this morning, and only spend apart from business ones was £1.50 for a plant :)
Asked OH to do the shopping, he mainly stuck to the (small) list. Must find receipt and record spends. I will need a couple of things from the pound-ish shops in town (cheaper than the SM) tomorrow, but to be honest we have a lot of food in.
Bit of gardening done, took out French beans, which had more or less gone over, and certainly didn't look attractive - found enough on there for dinner though!
OH has kindly gone to the tip with the plants, which were huge, and the compost heap is already full. He took some rose prunings and hedge cuttings from the other day as well :)
I have spent most of the afternoon cleaning brass, copper and silver plate for my sales unit (not my favourite job, but it is the time of the year when brass and copper items are most likely to sell, and I have a few, so best get them out there!)

Picked quinces, tomatoes, raspberries, carrots, squashes and a courgette
    Watered seedlings
Dinner to cook soon, plenty of vegetables to go with the small YS pork joint I found in the freezer :)

    ^^ all a bit strange!!…

I've had a frustrating afternoon trying to sort a problem with a new bit of tech which should have been a quick and easy, plug and play    Still not got it sorted but have emailed for support and am now determined not to let it waste anymore of my Sunday and wait for a response within 72 hrs.

Dh could see how  I was so has taken over the cooking of our tea (and replaced it with cooking chips for a chip and coleslaw butty)
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
  • Evening all :) :hello:
Well I finally did it. I made chutney. Thanks to Foxgloves for her recipe and convincing me that I could do it. And big thanks to my work friend for giving me the massive pan to make it in. I may have the confidence to try chilli jam next, but I definitely need some smaller jars first. I haven't dared taste it yet but I did it as per the instructions so hopefully it'll be ok.
It was a little spend day as I needed to get one jar of spice and some sugar for the chutney, but other than that I was good.
Had a much needed catch up with my mam. Sounds like she really enjoyed her hols, and she was really supportive. My divorce is spookily like hers, and is happening at the same age as she was when she left my dad. She reckons I'll get there eventually, even though I feel cack at the moment.
Now just checking my list to make sure that everything is ready for the week ahead. I've batch cooked chicken broth and Shepherd's pie so we should be good for a couple of days of meals. Need a shower before the bodyguard starts.
