  • Met friend for coffee, got told off because he reckons I'm shaking due to not eating enough. And threatening to call Himself to tell him if I don't eat more. I didn't think there was a problem, but then I worked out my change from the salon where I got my eyebrows done wrongly. So I bought some food on the way back.

Bit of recycling put out, WM on (the door handle made a pinging/crunching noise as I opened it, which, as it's approximately 15 years old, probably means I'm going to be buying another within 6-12 months ), Little Tray of Evil cleaned.

I have decided to stay in tonight and get the kitchen counters sparkly & do all the drying and washing up of mugs, so I don't have to worry about anything tomorrow when I'm out for about 10 hours.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

because I have a frog and a toad to munch, I decided it was the perfect time to try to polish the brass door handle on the lounge door...I have given myself a strict talking to.

And I scrubbed the front steps and splashed huge amounts of water around while dealing with the ten pots on the front steps instead of dealing with a sticky bank reconcilliation, the summit notes and tax return. It took a whole bar of chocolate to deal with it all, too.

I'll give myself a stern talking to when I've got the energy later.
    Better is good enough.

Bit of a late start today after a fantastic night seeing Hamilton yesterday.
Almost packed ready for hols. Lots of side benefits:
Decluttered, tidied and dusted dressing table
    Decluttered and cleaned bathroom
Sorted out clothes and put some in charity pile.

Also took mil for a coffee
Mr N watered greenhouse and picked loads of tomatoes; why do they all have to ripen as we're going away?
Frantically deleting emails as my business account inbox is apparently full, really bad timing as no warning given and don't want to miss anything while I'm away.
    Fed birds
    Renewed library books
    Went to Mr T
Kitchen floor appears to be drying off, but very slowly. Am fed up with circumnavigation wm in the middle of the kitchen and tripping up over the turned-back vinyl. Had a chat with insurance company in case we need to have a new floor and/or vinyl. Agreed to review it when we come back.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Huge congratulations, Ionafan. I hope you are now getting your well deserved rest.

We had a family day out yesterday. What with the early start, and lots of walking around, it wiped us out for the evening. This is our 3rd weekend in a row doing something, so much for Scrimper September. I decided to experiment with a recipe that I picked uo at the supermarket. Let's just say that the recipe is now in the recycling, and that cheese and biscuits was a saviour.

This morning, I managed a couple of hours at the allotment, then back for a MAD in the back garden. I am now tackling the ironing pile. Beats thinking about the tax return. ;)

Hello all. Manic few days with lots of driving,a break in and very little sleep while in pain from my wisdom tooth which is coming out in a couple of days. Today I have done the dailies, two dog walks and some potting on in the greenhouse once I'd got more compost. Also went to a car boot but there was nothing that caught my eye.

    See you all tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.
