  • Excellent, Piggers - the more he loses the plot and screams, shouts and uses violently misogynistic language, the less likely he is to get his own way.

 What IS that noise? Ah, Mr Next door neighbour is taking a machete to the bits of my rambling rose that are dangling over. I'll just do a bit of damage limitation/diplomacy in case he's not happy about it...

Sorted. Seems that telling him Himself is away with his Dad in hospital is all that was needed. All is good again. And that answers who put my bins back all neatly [strike]blocking the entrance[/strike], as it was to save me having to move them (they're very large, heavy and there are seven of the damned things now).

After a cuppa, I'm going to get changed, finish off the oven from its noxious chemical bath, wash up the one bowl and mug from last night, feed the felines and think about whether there's anything I want to eat in the house. There probably isn't.

Bah. Whether it's being tired or feeling a bit down, I'm really struggling to eat. My breakfasts have been a black coffee (and two cigarettes) for about 25 years now, but I can't eat at lunchtime without feeling ill and now, the prospect of cooking just for myself in the evening really doesn't appeal. I've easily got a few months' reserves on me, but I reckon I've already lost a few pounds. I'll know for certain if Himself says anything when I see him at the end of the month.

    Anyhow...cuppa!

worse.. the abuse has escalated and they are trying to take her out of school. I have objected to school transfer but cf had applied to home school but both applications have been blocked. Isolating her further and removing from formal education is just what serious abusers to to hide their crimes.. I am absolutely not going to be a part of that! I have everyone and their dog on his case.. but the things he is saying about Moomin are horrific and obviously not true. You wouldn't say these things about someone you hate never mind a child..

What a blessing she has you and you know what they're up to. (And you're exactly right...school absence/erratic attendance can be a key indicator)

Pigpen.....nope, sorry, for once, words fail me....

Narc0 - ((hugs)), that 10 months have flown by. I hope the evening was a lovely, if sometimes bittersweet occasion.

Kitchen has been tidied, tomorrow's dinner is out from the freezer so that the sc can be put into action in the morning, and that is about it.

    Tomorrow I really, really must...
    - clean the kitchen floor (don't even go there..)
    - go to take a look at the allotment. It is becoming a chore, so I have to remind myself that it is my exercise "opportunity" of the week. Especially as now I have thrown my holier than thou trainers out, so jogging is no longer an option. Hurrah!
    - Pay bills!!! And maybe even look at the dratted tax return.

    Cuppa calls.
  • Oven finished and is all shiny on the inside. We won't talk about the state of the outside (but if you're looking for a new one, don't bother with a cheap Swedish oven if it's got 'chrome' panels - I knew I should have spent a bit extra and got the old fashioned enamel one at the time, but I bowed to pressure from the ex).

The expensive non stick baking sheet that has been repeatedly put back in the oven without cleaning by Somebody Else and had a quarter inch layer of solid gunge baked on, is now very shiny. And missing the non stick, but I suppose I can use baking parchment instead.

At least when it gets used next time, it's unlikely to set the smoke alarm off for a change. I do try and have the 'everything should be covered when it's in there' discussion frequently, but it's apparently impossible to do that when roasting things.

Got around to chucking a tin of butter beans and half a courgette into half a jar of curry sauce. Now regretting it, as my tummy is protesting, but i had to eat.

Long phone call to best mate. He's come up with the suggestion of him & his wife renting somewhere near Himself for a couple of days in early November (if he's still down there then) and smuggling me down in the car as a surprise for when they meet up for 'a coffee'. Hopefully, I'll be able to negotiate the time off work. I like this idea. Also seeing them at the weekend.

Phone call from Himself. No change from yesterday, but an important meeting they turned up to didn't happen, for no apparent reason. He's not particularly happy about this, but i would imagine that something urgent came up with another resident of the Rehab Unit.

I should go and try to get to sleep now. No guarantees, as it's 3 hours early for me, but it definitely felt like I needed another 3 hours' sleep this morning.

How does he work that one out?

Lying, delusional, narcissistic, mentally unstable, violent bully.. that is how he works it out.. nutjob!! The only time parental rights are removed is when the child in question is adopted.

I have clarified every detail of what I have written in my statements with the children, big and less big.. I do not want to get anything wrong or miss anything out.

School are getting a whopping shock tomorrow (or Wednesday)... I'm seeing if I can find time to visit them, I KNOW they will have missed my happy smiling face and glittering personality so I am going to visit and will be working with them to resolve any issues Tiddles is facing there and find a solution (which doesn't involve illegal activity.. sadly murder is illegal, though I'd call it euthanasia, putting my babes out of their misery!!)

I've spent most of the day on the phone or dashing about like a crazy person.. I even converted my daughters singing of the peppa pig tune to baby shark... I'm totally peopled out and will be facing a crash in a day or two so I can recharge my people skills but tomorrow.. I shall sparkle!

Out for dinner with my friend tomorrow for the first time in over 2 years.. we have both got married since I last saw her, I had Twinkle and the pub we went to turned super rubbish..

    Morning ladies x

Catching up on all the news. Pigpen, words fail me also. What planet does your ex come from???

Fayolle - throwing away trainers is an excellent way of being able to legitimately say "sorry, no-can-do" to my friend in the running club. Thanks for the tip!

Another friend, rather less energetic, is coming round for a cuppa after the school run, which will be nice as our boys now go to different primary schools since preschool. I also have a lead for her in her quest for a part-time accounting job.

    Kitchen needs sorting before then....
