Parking eye parking charge while I wasn't in the car park

Ive been doing a lot more research into the whole double dipping issues with the ANPR cameras and I found my local asda is terrible for it, normally they just went through appeals and wait but Stuff sitting around and waiting that is why I got the store manager involved and he even said it might have not seen your car leave the car park the first time but then attempted to reassure the camera works well. It baffles me how much crap people can talkCoupon-mad wrote: »I just visited a Supermarket today, and the parking voucher would not validate and the images did not show my car arriving. The message suggested I faff about queuing up at CS. I think not...
I was there an hour and have a valid parking voucher. Never had my car not seen by the cameras before.

Many seem to fight the PPC's corner rather than that for their very lifeblood - their customer. Defies all logic! It baffles me how much crap people can talkPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I won't need the local MP for my case.

Tell you what, if they send me a PCN in my case (I doubt I will get one) I promise to do an ICO complaint. Data misuse if they send me a PCN for their misread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That idea ran through my head earlier today actually, put across a story about the local private car parks causing a huge hit to the town centre with people going out their way not to park there. It was in the local papers about two of the private companies finding loopholes around the code and giving miss leading information and threatening some of the more vulnerable residentsso please ... as suggested earlier ... try your MP ... you write well, and should be able to put a good case to him/her .... after you show your expediences ...

Would it actually surprise you if one did come through the post :laugh:0 -
It would surprise me in my case, because it seems they missed the driver's 'entry' VRN image, so they must only have the 'exit' photo.
Different from your case but shows how ANPR fails.
In my case, it is a system that shows you the image of your car and you verify patronage for free parking. The system could not find the car, at all. That's a first for us!
Yet I know the driver was not following another car close as we entered, and there is no reason that the numberplate, on entry, was not likely to be visible to the camera. The driver drove in slowly, as per usual.
Anyway I've pulled your thread off topic enough. Yours will soon show as cancelled online, and Supermarkets can always cancel a PCN.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Okay thank you and yeah hopefully Asda manages to actually get it sorted and keep to their word. I wish you the best of luck with your current situation and hopefully nothing else comes about it
