Parking eye parking charge while I wasn't in the car park

Hello so I'm new to these threads and have read though the newbie guide thing, I have appealed against parking eye but the whole situation just seems very off and strange
So the issuehappened at the ASDA supermarket on the 1st of the September. Long story short two trips to ASDA that morning and afternoon. Once at 11.25am to withdraw £10 out of the cash machine and to check if the store sold dog collars, which they didn’t at that time and again at 13:49:36 to pick up some daily items, bread, milk and such on spending £4.75. during the time in-between, quickly went to another store to pick up a dog collar which your store didn’t supply at 11:31 and take my children and dog to one of the local county parks Rufford.
Fast forward to today the 7th of September, I received a letter in the post containing a parking charge from the company parking eye that controls the car park outside of the store saying my car had been left in the carpark for 2 and 27 minuets which is the time the car was at another store and walking around the country park. I instantly rang parking eye and appealed because the car wasn’t in the car park at this time. I also contacted the store to see if there was any cctv of the carpark that shows my car leaving or leaving the space my car was parked in as proof that the car left the cark park as Parking eyes ANPR camera didn’t pick me up exciting the carpark after 11:25am and returning before making the store purchases 13:49 the only images they have is my car entering at 11:24am and then leaving at 13:51.
The store staff said there was CCTV covering the space my car was parked in and would show my car leaving the space but even if she watched the play backs I could not be told about any of the information due to data protection, which I fully understand. She went on to say the only way you could get a copy or see any information is by contacting ASDA home and requesting a reference number to be able to get the information. I Called ASDA home and was talking to a very helpful lady who gave me all the information I needed and was forwarded an email address to email to hopefully request to view the CCTV footage.
I wouldn’t be going to these lengths if it was my fault and left the car there for the 2 and half hours but the issue is that I didn’t leave my car there and I want to resolve this issue before things get taken further. Even on the images they sent of my car you can see my dog in-between me and my partner which makes the situation even stranger why would I take my dog to an ASDA car park for 2 and half hours?
Is there any other advise you guys can give? I've asked Asda for cctv proof and appealed against parking eye. I guess it's time to play the waiting game now

This is called a "double-dip" and happens pretty regularly with ANPR systems used by Parking Eye. It's either plain wrong, or missed your plate on one of the visits because there was another too close in front/behind.
If you have evidence of being somewhere else, or even 2 separate receipts for Asda, then you've got nothing to worry about and can let Parking Eye huff and puff all they want.
You should be able to press Asda to get it dropped, which is the easiest and least stressful way. They won't want to lose a customer over a parking misunderstanding.0 -
Oh I'm persuing Asda, ringing the store manager tomorrow ( when he is in.... Of course) and I've contacted their head office saying I want cctv footage I'm not paying for something that I didn't cause. I read about the double dip thing and it's ridiculous that it happens, it just seems to strange it caught me going in the first time, missed my car TWICE then got me going out again it's an outrage0

With supermarket car parks the best approach is to write a letter of complaint to the supermarket.
They will get it cancelled for you.
You don't need the CCTV, they won't give it to you anyway.
You don't have to pay, this isn't a legal fine.
If ASDA don't help you, you can appeal the parking eye 'ticket' but even if that goes against you, you can ignore it. If they really want to get their money they have to take you to court, and you can provide your evidence then.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -

I have bank statements and receipts from both visits and a receipt from the other shop I visited, the last shop I visited was at 11:31 6 minutes after getting cash out0 -

Oh I'll fight it to the end, I've spoken to the stores assistant manager and I'm getting in Contact with the store manager tomorrow morning and will now be writing a letter thank you0 -

This is where I get confused. The issue about leaving and re-entering the car park aside, are you sure the OP doesn't need to pay (assuming they didn't get it cancelled)?
My understanding is that the issue ultimately gets passed to a debt collection agency and then you get bailiffs knocking on the door.0 -

You will be pleased to know that there are some folks who frequent this and other forums that deliberately go out their way to get double dipped just to cost the bandits, sorry, parking companies money :-)0 -
Please get this thread moved to the correct subform - Parking Tickets!
Then inform yourself properly about private parking and how to see-off a ticket by reading the Newbies Sticky at the top of the forum carefully. Parking Eye is heavily featured i the examples there.
Also edit your OP to remove all reference to who was driving as Parking Eye do know about this forum and have sought to identify posters in an attempt to gain info to use against them.0 -
