Ok thanks. I’ve just been on their website to look at their Privacy Notice to find DPO details but the email is still their own email, is this ok then? Also it says to provide proof of ID for me, would this be driving licence?
Didnt't know you had to send proof of ID when sending in a SAR...0 -

MAny thanks
The ICO has said asking for proof of ID is not unreasonable.
Send the SAR for the attention of their DPO.
I would suggest sending the SAR by post as well, first class from a post office counter, ensuring you get a free proof of posting.
DO NOT send any photo ID. The ICO has said this is unreasonable as they don't have anything to compare it with. It may also drop a driver in it if there is a front photo view of the car showing the driver's face.
A copy of the vehicle V5 is sufficient, and even that is over the top as the ICO has stated that asking for further ID is unreasonable if the scammers already have an ongoing relationship with the requester.
Receiving an SAR from the person with the same name and address to whom the scammers have sent a NTK and responded to an appeal is in my opinion "an ongoing relationship."I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Ok quick update- so I now have a final notice for payment, stating that if I don’t pay within 14 days they will commence enforcement action ie. debt recovery and or county court proceedings. Just checking I’m doing the right thing by ignoring this and any other letters until I (hopefully don’t!) receive a LBC?
Many thanks0 -
Debt collecting rubbish! Only come back if you receive a PROPER LoC/LBA/LBC/LBCCC and that will give you 30 days to respond, will include financial forms (which you do NOT fill in) and should include the particulars of claim and proof.0

That’s what I thought just wanted to check, thanks0

Do you now carry a blob of Blutack in the glovebox, as advised in post #2?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
