You see it's all very well MSE acting as an agent, but ultimately they wash their hands of it and leave us at the mercy of the dubious customer services departments.
I'd think twice, three times, about making another change now, surely undermining the whole principle of switching.0 -
This seems to be an issue for only a few of us, given how quiet the thread is, but the problem continues.
After 40 minutes queued 'in the system' the gentleman I spoke with said that although there was a note on the system of my previous call in early September nothing seemed to have ben done.
I have forwarded the e-mails I was told to send then and he acknowledged receipt and said he'd deal with it 'first thing Thursday' as he is not in tomorrow.
On we go. I applied for the swap before a fortnight in Gran Canaria and it still hasn't been acknowledged at the suntan is wearing off!

Hi does anyone know if this tariff with EDF is cheaper going through the MSE Energy Club versus going direct to EDF?0

A number of suppliers only offer new tariffs via Price Comparison Websites and when you call you may find that CS staff have no knowledge of the tariff on offer. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If you go to the EDF website, there is a list of tariffs available direct with them or only via comparison/switching sites.

I've only been trying to switch for 38 days, so (Cell) your 42 days beats me.:rotfl:0

Hallelujah! Finally my tariff has been switched (and backdated), just 39 days after applying to EDF.0

I am experiencing problems with edf .they have tried to take 2x the quote and are now almost 6 months from the initial switch and the electricity part has still to be competed. When i contact them it takes at least 20 mins to speak to someone ,there was no action to complete my switch until i tried to give an electricity reading then they said it was an internal problem which is still not resolved.my experience with edf is not easy usually not online and not switched0

Thanks to one individual contact at EDF doing exactly what he said he would do on Thursday I'm now switched, with the tariff backdated.
I'm not at all sure what would have happened had he not taken ownership of the problem. All credit to him.0
