    Anyone any updates
  • Hi,

We've just had our application turned down. After waiting for nearly 3 weeks, submitting reams of information and having a successful valuation - (which we've had to pay for)

It seems to me that with all the information they'd received they would have known then that they were not going to make us an offer. But continued with the process (ie sending a valuer out) at a cost to us of £695.

not v-impressed to say the least.... :(

Hi heading west that is a total shame. Have they said why they have refused? Was it maybe to do with the valuation?

This is a shame to hear, can you give any other info as to why it was turned down?

Do you still have CCJ's or Defaults that need clearing etc?

I'm worried we will get refused cos if we do we have no other option and we will lose the house we both love, whilst having to let down our buyers at the same time who are a lovely young couple :(

    hi, Ako26 and Maverick_TF

The valuation wasn't an issue; in fact they valued it at more than we had!

    And no CCJ's etc...

We're trying to raise a 'let to buy' mortgage on my house so as to move to another. The new property is in a run-down state and it seems they pulled out because they were given the impression by someone (WRONGLY) that we would not be able to move in and would thus continue living where we are after the mortgage had gone through. this is not the case, but once a decision is made it seems it cannot be reversed.... ( I think they think we were trying to pull the wool over their eyes.. :( )

Luckily our finance guy is on the case and is not put off by this, so on to the next lender!

Anyway, i think we've just been unfortunate. The circumstances are not quite run-of-the-mill, and for us it didn't go our way. But chin-up you others who are waiting on decisions, summer's coming, and i'm sure it'll all work out in the end.

Hi all, i'm intrigued by the adverse mortgage market.

I currently have 3 defaults on my file

    One is paid
    One is £52 with natwest
    one is £3800 with natwest

All drop off by January 2022.

I was thinking about applying for a mortgage in a years time. Am i likely to get one do we think or would i be wasting my time?
