I seem to remember I sent 3 months worth of salary payslips and 3 months of bank statements. They then asked for proof of 12 months of rental payments (clearly not applicable to you). I also required proof of employment and salary from my place of work (although they don't seem to ask for that all the time)
I did have a number of defaults and 1 CCJ but all of them were cleared and were at least 18 months old.
Hope that helps0 -

That's great thanks @JasonHand
I only have one CCJ on my file now which is cleared and due to drop off next August so fingers crossed should be in a good position for the full application.
I am so happy I found this thread, makes me feel a little more at ease about the whole thing.
Stresses aren't too far away though, we found a buyer for our house within a week of being listed for sale, and the same day we accepted an offer on ours, the people we wanted to buy from couldn't commit to the sale even though we had done all they required within 3 weeks of a 6 week window they gave us, so that was a huge blow, until a few days later they changed their mind and the sale is going ahead now :dance:0 -

Today I got the call from my broker saying Pepper have agreed to lend the amount and rate offered (pending valuation of propery).
Great news.
So that's approximately eleven working days from application0 -
I am also going through the mortgage application with Pepper and put in our application on Tuesday 26th March. We have provided the following:
-3 months bank statements including savings and children’s accounts as we have access to them
-3 months payslips (husband is self employed so he has sent his documents)
-copy of passport and driving licence
-they also wanted our mortgage statement which we sent
-children’s birth certificates (wasn’t aware but they use child benefit as a form of income for the household)
-they also questioned anything on our accounts such as laments to people or other accounts and why they were made. For example money paid for daughters dance lessons etc (so as long as this can be justified in a quick sentence etc
I hope this helps x0 -
