Separate shower or shower over bath?

Our bathroom is 2.5m x 2.5m
We have enough space in the bathroom for a bath and a separate shower (800x800) but would be tighter than if we go for a combined shower over bath.
I just want to canvas views on whether a separate shower is much more appealing to you than the lost of space to accommodate it

I put both in, it was a bit of a tight squeeze. I now wish I'd just put a really big walk in shower in the spot where I put the bath.
I've never had a bath in 3 years since moving here, there was only room for a small standard sized bath so its not nice enough to be a treat and the shower is obviously the more efficient way to get clean so the bath just sits there unused.0 -
I'd buy a house with a bath and shower over - I'd not wish to buy a house with just a shower, unless I was so strapped for cash that was the only option on the market.0

In a previous house, with a similar sized bathroom, we put in a shower cubicle and a corner bath (one with one longer side and one shorter side) It fitted in more easily than a standard bath as the long side of the corner bath was not quite as long as a straight bath would have been.
I still miss that bathroom... never had a big enough bathroom in any house since to replicate it.
I once lived in a flat with only a shower and really missed having the option to have a bath - even though I rarely have a bath there are a few occasions when only a good soak really sorts out aches and pains and I wouldn't want to not have the option.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

I'd go for the bath with separate shower, even if space is tight you don't need a massive bathroom for what you do in itI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Shower over the bath. I don't see what a separate shower enclosure offers that a bath doesn't.
You can get P-shaped baths if you want more space in the standing area.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
We put in separates when we moved to this house 7 years ago.
We've re-done it this year with a great big deep bath with a shower over and it's hands down so much better.
We have separate bath taps and a shower with rainfall and handheld options. We've got a lovely wide sink with storage underneath.
Our son was quite vocal about not liking the plan to remove the shower but he admitted straight away that it's better and the shower is more comfortable for him this way. He's a rugby lad, so not little!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Had both and prefer a separate shower. My only regret when we did ours was that we didn't put a shower attachment with the bath taps, My fault because I said we didn't need one because we had the separate shower!!!!0

Simple. One person can jump in the shower while the other is in the bath (can be useful if you've only got one bath/shower room)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
