Miss tru decided to clear out her [strike]tip[/strike] room so I washed 2 loads of bedding (why don't they put the dirty ones in the wash straight away?) and 2 more loads of clothes. There's no breeze here at all and the air is damp so I thought I'd put the heating on to get it all dry. CEPT THE BOILER'S PACKED UP

Could be anything from £5 for a diaphram (boilers have diaphrams??????? where do they go then?) to £200 for a circuit board.

I'm on a pre-diet diet - still waiting for my diet book to arrive - and I've just broken it with minstrels    Can't blame anyone else for that I suppose, but I will try

    Afternoon!
just dropped in to say hello after what felt like a marathon but was just a quick trip to town and Mr T's.
Spent my Boots vouchers - thanks to advice from the Boots thread I got some lovely manicure sets as stocking fillers!
They have started to put up the council Christmas decorations here, but they don't get illuminated until the end of the month. The shops have started on the window displays, which looked a little strange as it was very mild so few people were wearing coats. Weird weather this year but we are enjoying this part.

Joannasmum our lovely dog was a Henry, thinking of you and your family.

Jackie O so glad you enjoyed your trip

laurajayne you made me hungry!!!! had to go and scrounge a sweet from DS1

    Aussielass hope things go well.

Pen pin enjoy the girly time together, my DD is miles away now.

    evening all,

been out for a lovely walk today, to a local nature reserve called kingley vale, it has these huge buriel mounds there, where saxon kings were burried,
its a beautiful peacefull place. It was absolutly swarming with lady birds literaly thousands and thousands of them  , my dad said it was on the news last night and they are foreign ones which are wiping out our natural ones, and the government are thinking of exterminating them. (personally I think its Aussielass putting a spell on us :D )

Well just off to prepare tea, will have to have TV or music on loud tonight to drown out the noise of the fireworks, little dog hates them.

    Love to all

  • Evening all, well it's dark, so it feels like evening.
Big hugs to pen pin, hope you feel better soon.
Glad to see your post JackieO you're an inspiration to us all.
Have gone mad this weekend & decided to do some housework, it's my last free Saturday for a while. I have a pamper day next Saturday, the Saturday after in DD's wedding & the one after that we're spending in London as it's my birthday.
    Have a good evening everyone

tru - diaphrams have a different meaning for me! Hope there are no baby boilers on the way!!!!!!!!

Strickly CD - well, last week's fiasco. Kenny in his kilt (I have to support as Scottish) but when he did do the twirls he had white boxers on!!!!!!!!) Not traditional. A hard one to call this week. They all did pretty well.

    Love and hugs to all.

Had one mad busy day here.

DGS2 stayed over and was collected at midday for a football match - naturally DS2 was late collecting him.

DD arrived with DGS1 and DGD2 for me to look after DGD2 (10 days old) for the afternoon.

DS1 arrived with two ham shanks for me to make pea and ham soup for him to take to a bonfire party tonight! Had to send him back out again for some quicksoak dried peas!!

Hairdresser arrived to cut and colour my hair.

DS1 arrived back with said peas - we were cutting it very fine by this time - even though the shanks had been started off in the pressure cooker! Then he left again to go to a computer fair.

DD and DGS1 finally left to go shopping! OH finally put in an appearance and wondered why he got growled at!!

Hairdresser finally left looking very bemused at all the comings and goings.

DS1 and girlfriend and her son (aged 2) arrived to collect the soup which was just about ready in time.

Changed and fed DGD2 - who promptly went straight back to sleep - thank goodness. Think the house was a bit too mad for her!

Did chilli and pasta for tea for OH and myself (frozen a couple of weeks ago).

DD arrived with her OH and DGS1 to collect baby. They hung around for a while but took the hint when they heard me snoring!!!

And my GP wonders why I've got High Blood Pressure - I could tell him!

Hope everybody else has had a more calm and relaxing saturday than I've managed to have. I'm turning my phone OFF tomorrow and they can all wonder where the heck I've gone to.

Oh yes - and the cat is having a nervous breakdown at all the bangers etc!
