  • I'm sorry, Pen Pin. I hope things improve soon.

Lovely to see you, Jackie. Good to hear you sounding so cheeful. Looking forward to your post to say your treatment is finished and you feel great!

The baby has bronchiolitis. He had it at 4 months and needed to be on hospital, on oxygen in isolation. This time he's stronger and doesn't seem to have it so badly. They've sent us home with an inhaler to take every 4 hours. (I've set the alarm the last 2 nights to give it to him during the night but he's seemed quite relaxed so I think it's easing off. Not sure why he doesn't need to be in isolation this time. Anyway, we're allowed to go play at a friend's house so that's what we're doing and she's making lunch for us. (She makes FABULOUS flapjacks with seeds in and chocolate coating - must resist, must resist...)

I'm back on the weightloss wagon thanks to the encouragement on the old style weightloss thread. I'm fed up of feeling like I'm humphing a huge rucksack round with me everywhere!

    Have a good day everyone.

Beautiful day here bright sunny, and windy, perfect for the three loads of washing that I have.
I too am feeling a bit fragile this morning, but mine IS due to the amount of wine I drunk last night :D , never mind a bacon sandwith and a long walk will sort me out. No plans for today really, will get the washing out, hoover and mop, then get out for a walk, I must get a lottery ticket tonight, I think its a tripple roll over, think of all the shoes I could buy with that :p :T

Got jacket spuds for tea, with cheese and ham, tomatoes beetroot, and the most delicious baby pickled onions that I have discovered in lidl, they are in balsamic vinegar,  and very good value x

love to all have good saturdays

Hi Y'all, phew! Is it Saturday? Can someone turn the treadmill off now please? LOL

I'm getting into a new routine now I'm working, ie getting up earlier and flying round like a dervish before the school run. LOL Everything is getting done, roughly as before but there is no free time for anything. One snag or unexpected event any my domestic schedule falls like a pack of cards. LOL

Mrs MATH is off to Boston USA next weekend for a week (something to do with work:confused:) so I'm going to take the kidz over to the coast for the weekend. I may even have a trundle around Boston UK so ner-ner-de-ner-ner to Mrs MATH:p She's not the only one who can indulge in Wanderlust LOL

Miss MATH is having a girly day today (I'm driver/personal shopper). She is currently steeped in a bubble bath to gear herself up for it. I've had a look at her instructions and Claires Accesories seems to feature quite heavily followed by lunch at MaccyD's. Major MATHLETT is at Grandma's and Mini MATHLETT is on a trip to Old Trafford so Chez MATH is soooo quiet.

I suppose I should be using the time for something productive, like practising my Makaton signs, or alphabetasizing my spice jars instead of surfing :o but ha ho.

I've reached goal weight after fighting the ravages six weeks of icecream/doughnut eating at the coast over the summer has wrought on my usual snake hipped and pert lower portions. Back to normal jean size and ready for the Christmas Nibbles :rotfl:

For the first time in 15 years, Chez MATH and assorted rellies/hangers on are going out for Christmas Dinner. I've done all my Christmas food buying, prepping and cooking, ie, I've ticked one starter, one main, one dessert on my menu choice - job done:j

Gotta go, the TD has beeped:rolleyes: Hugs to all, especially PP, I love your chooks BTW, hope you feel better soon

    MATH x

  • Hi all, just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all those who sent me virtual hugs yesterday when I posted about my poor friend. This is such a warm caring bunch of people, thank you so so much :kisses3: :grouphug: No news from the hospice as yet, but at least she is peaceful, and hoping to just slip away in her sleep.

Today is a beautiful sunny day here today and I have the day to myself, what bliss! OH and DS are somewhere up a hill in the Lake District and DD is off teaching at music school and then rehearsing later for her concert tonight. I have my Christmas pud to stir up (forgot yesterday! :o ) and a pile of ironing to tackle but that's IT. I'm driving over to meet up with DD after her rehearsal and we have promised ourselves a meal out before the concert.

Hugs to PP, poor N9eave with a headache ;) , JackieO and anyone else who needs them....

    Lots of love

morning everyone and hugs to everyone who's feeling poorly esp baby GR.
I'm completely out of sync today - came home from w*rk with a splititng headache and as dd went out for a sleepover I went straight to bed. Got up at 11.30 and did housework and stuff until 4am and then up again at 9am. Plans today are to pick up dd and then go into the Town of Many charity Shops for xmas and dgs bday shopping. The bus stop is outside a big music shop so I will pop in and get a capo for my guitar and nothing else - I promise! (I'm only a beginner and have been for about 3 years but I'm a sucker for songbooks). eldest dd is coming round later to sort out her finances with me so I will be up to my eyeballs in housing benefit forms and debt collection letters while she tries to change the subject into something more fluffy. There's a rumour that I might be going out tonight with middle dd but we both have to sort out childcare first. Oh amd me and little dd are going to make the christmas pudding and cake some time this weekend - goodness I'm exhausted just thinking about it all

    have a great day
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Morning All

(((Hugs))) to everyone who needs them.

We have had our little funeral service and all had a weep. We also let a balloon go with Henrys favourite toy attached to it so thanks for the idea Tired Mum.

DH has taken DD to work with him as they have a open day so I've got several hours to myself. I'm going to give the house a good bottoming as it needs it.

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning all,

Another good nights sleep for me.:T

Went to my sister-in-laws last night for a drink as it is her birthday today. I'm not much of a drinker, so only had 2 bottles of lager. My DD and DH told me this morning that I was very wobbly on my crutches last night:eek: :D

Plans for today are washing, 1 load already done, bathroom I can manage to wipe over will have to get DH to do the floor. Then we are off to Milton Keynes this afternoon so DD can spend her birthday money. Looks like it will be a very slow amble round for me. May just park myself in Starbucks!!

Have a good day all and (((hugs))) to them who need one.

  • Good morning everyone (and it is, cos the sun is shining :j )

N9eav hope the washing up has helped bring you round a bit and you're feeling less fragile now. :D
Pen-Pin sorry you are feeling so rotten. Hope you start to feel better soon.
twink good luck - hope you win the voucher.:T
GR hope LO is much better soon.
JackieO lovely to read that you are now feeling more like yourself again. The only way is up now.
Essex girl ouch! poor DH. With any luck the antibiotics will kick in soon and he will feel much better.
dlb well done on getting the bank charge refunded. :T It's so infuriating when they interpret the rules to suit themselves, isn't it.
joannasmum what a lovely send off for Henry.
Well, bought DD's bike yesterday at Toys R Us - £49.99 for a 26" ladies bike.:T She can't wait to ride it but she'll just have to - it's for Christmas. :p

I just wish DS would decide what he wants for Christmas as I want time to be able to shop around and get the best bargains. (btw Churchmouse - he's 15 but has never had a girlfriend and isn't *really* looking for one. )

DD pulled her aprons out of her school bag yesterday and both of them are covered in various shades of orange chalk. Turned out she had loaned her (white) cookery apron to a friend for an art lesson and they were using chalks. Not sure the best way to get it out so may post on the Quick Questions thread.

I am determined to clean out a couple of cupboards in the kitchen today as I'm fed up with piles and piles of stuff on top of one another and not in any particular order. So a declutter is the order of the day.

TV is rubbish on Saturday night so I may treat myself to a dvd or a good book from the library. Hope Saturday is good to you all. xx

  • Morning all - hope you all have a good weekend.

Am very tired today. Work has been manic - I do things so quickly at the minute to keep up that I make little mistakes - look like a right divvie. Oh well. At least its the weekend. Hoping to make some cards this weekend and do a little christmas shopping.

Well have a nice sunny saturday!!
