Good morning everybody - a really dull miserable day here in Liverpool this morning.

Hope you are all well and have a full day of OS-ing planned! ((((((( hugs))))))) where needed and :T :T to those who have been successful in whatever they are trying to achieve!

Last week I got ready for my hairdresser to call and found I was a week too early - it's this week! So by this evening I should be looking far more presentable with hair trimmed and coloured (dark auburn). We've also been asked to have Caitlin for a couple of hours this afternoon - what a privilege! DD said she wouldn't DREAM of asking anybody else - especially while she's still so young.

At the moment DGS2 (age 6) is running around like a 'dervish' - dunno if he's eaten 'something he shouldn't' or if it's just over-excitement. He's going to football at 12noon so hopefully his father should be here soon to collect him. I think he's trying to re-enact all those stupid cartoons that he's been watching this morning. By the time they take him back home again - he'll have run off all the excess energy.

I had a surprise this morning - Mr Postie left me a cardboard box. I was wondering if there was a freebie that I'd asked for and forgotten about - or had become caught up in the postie strike  . But noooooooooooo - there was a letter inside to say I'd been successful in a prize draw that I found through this site :T . A tube of L'Oreal Collagen Skin Re-Modeller - woohoohoo :j.

Now let's see if it can work all those miracles that it promises :rotfl: :rotfl: .

I've discovered some frozen chilli in the freezer (left overs from last week that I managed to salvage BEFORE Mr Ollie got to scav at it before bedtime!) - so it's that for tea tonight with some pasta (neither of us are great rice fans). I buy those giant bags of pasta from ASDA so that's an evening meal that is gonna cost hardly anything at all! I've also got one of those frozen pizza-style garlic breads that's been around for a while that will go down well with it.

Yesterday's soup was gorgeous this time and have managed to freeze the left overs for another day - I'm enjoying all this managing meals for nothing! Thanks for the inspiration everybody.

I'll be back later in the day to read what you've all been up to but for now have a good day!

    Good morning everyone,

feeling rather awake this morning, which is a change for saturdays  Woke up at 5.45am, and again when the alarm went off at 7.30am, but admit I fell asleep again and didn't get up till about 9am :o We've had breakfast, and I've been out to the shops (though may need to go out again later - forgot some stuff) and now have my first :coffee: of the day.

Not sure exactly what we're doing today, would like to go into town at some point over the weekend as I want to buy myself a digital camera with the rest of my birthday money, and I need to pick up a scrapbook for an upcoming project. I've got masses of sewing to do (I need to get this present finished!) and lots of general OS stuff - the WM is just about ready to be switched on, then I'll need to see about some general clearing up. If it dries out sufficiently I may even get some digging done in the garden - its all puddly just now :D

twink - hope you win the voucher!
Gingham - hope the baby feels better soon
Pen-Pin - hope you feel better soon too!
JackieO - great to see you again

*hugs* to all, especially anyone I've missed - take or leave as you please :j

    Good morning everyone,

((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxx

Nothing much happening here today, im still sat in my dressing gown, and im about to get into the shower and wash my hair. Then have to make DS an early lunch, as he has football, and i dont like him running around just after he has eaten.

After football, we will be coming home for a lazy afternoon - in fact, apart from some cleaning i think it will be a lazy weekend - after working all week i really do need it!

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hello everybody,

Well it's 10pm here now and I haven't had a chance to post today. I've read the thread but won't comment on everyone's ins and outs. :o My brain is a bit jaded atm so (((hugs))) to all those need one & hope you all have a great day.

Well things have moved on pretty quickly today and we've just had to pick up XDIL & DGS from the city bus terminal hence the late post. They will be staying here for the time being. I have set up a little area for them in the corner of our lounge room. Not ideal but it's the best we can do.

Hopefully I will still get the chance to post each day but if I go AWOL for a few days you know I"m just a bit snowed under. You'll have to keep Twink and Haribo into line though. :D

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Afternoon all,

I deposited Miss Twit at school at 8.30 this morning for a hockey match, she had no idea where it was at (away match) or what time she would be back.
I usually get a text as they pull back into school and then it takes me 20 minutes to get there and she is stood there huffing and puffing about being last one there.
Lovely day here today, so I'm off into town to terrorise Boots....got a £5 No7 voucher that's burning a hole in my purse.
Then tonight we are at a Silver Wedding party, donations to cancer research in memory of her brother, so no pondering on what to buy.

Hugs to the poorlies, including those with self inflicted hangovers.

Have a great day all of you.

Hugs to all who need one xxx

Well the 'rents are away this weekend (honestly, where do they get off, having a better social life than me  ). Sat down yesterday and realised I had 6 free weekends til Christmas  (Having my wisdom teeth extracted don 14/12, and the weekend before Christmas is too late, obviously). So last night I made some mocha-rum truffle centres, truffle shells and a big mess :D So today I shall be coating the truffles, mixing up some filling...and maybe making nother batch. Apparently they freeze, so thats ok. Need to find a rum and raison fudge recipe though.

Might have to have a takeaway tonight....just have that urge ;) Plus, we have nowt that sis would eat...what a shame. Saturday night off :p

  • Afternoon Guys!!

OH & DD have popped to Nettos to grab their weekly bargains that we need. We watched Final Destination 2 this morning as DD wanted to watch the 2nd one.

They are off to a firework display tonight locally, so will have a quiet couple of hours, have been asked if I want to go round my friends but TBH, not feeling up to it.

My sister has a male friend meeting our folks tonight and she has only been seperated 5 or 6 weeks:eek:     ...she met him online and have already had dinner. I am really unsure about it all. I hope she dont get hurt again so quickly. What can I do?

Anyway, gonna have a drink and biscuit.

    Hugs

    Hi all

    Scenario one

Up and at it bright and early, cleaning, hoovering, washing, gardening, etc etc.

    Scenario two

Still in dressing gown, watching soaps on ITV2 and just generally slopping around.

A vote on what is the truth (I would go Number Two if I were you!!!!!!!!!)

Sorry to hear about kidney stones, illness, lack of sleep and over-indulgence and poorly kids etc.

Hope you are all having a good Saturday.

    Love GB xxxxxxxxx
