OS daily Saturday 3rd November 07

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Saturday 3rd November 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning. I am feeling a little fragile this morning after a meal with friends last night. I did not drink too much, but maybe it was a combination of all the rich foods. I rustled up some cream of parsnip soup, with fresh baked rolls, then pork loin steaks in honey and ginger. There was some sping onion mash potato, vichy carrots, glazed swede and garlic french beans. For desert we had wine jelly with custard and cream. Pretty tasty although I say so myself.

I have to play taxi this morning taking 2 of my children to work, then off to work myself at 1pm. Lots to do today so I should keep myself busy.

Hope every one is well and has a nice day. Must get the coffee pot on.....

Hola! N9eav and Pen-Pin and all who follow.

Hi Tru - you snuck in!

You two are earlybirds! Sorry you are feeling carp Pen-Pin, but enjoy your day with DD. Is the current
hospital treatment to help/stablised/improve you? Have a rant if you want, you must get frustrated.

N9eav - Nothing to say yet?

The quiz was good last night, questions you felt you could have a go at and get quite a few, however, being newbies to it we came bottom and won a bottle of wine! The winning table got a bottle of wine each and we won one between the four of us, but on a "Open the Box" game in the middle, we won and another so one for each couple. The quiz was free to enter 5€ on the "Open the Box" tickets, and 30€ between 4 of us all night for drinks, so not bankrupting, will be back next week.

New bed arrived and is very comfy.

    Take care

Yeah.... It's always hard starting a thread. If you start one and write several minutes of texts, someone else also starts one and you end up with 2 threads and it all gets confusing. So I just post the sticky and then go back and add my text.... :D

Not much ATM Im afraid. Have 3 hospital visits this week so will see what happens then as I may have to go back inside (hospital). I am totally fed up and lifes feels so unfair at times, but I have a wonderful husband and daughter, so cant complain much.

    Thanks for asking hun.
