Just doing a final check on all paperwork before court tomorrow and it seems I did not take or keep a copy of the paper for costs, I put the orignal and only copy in the file that I submitted to the court, is this the end of the world?


Also, I have noted on another thread to take proof of emailing all the files over to GS, what kind of proof would this be? A screenshot of my outbox showing the email?

Which court & Judge?

Can you type out your OH's experience of the day, what the other side's legal rep was like, what the Judge said, how long it took, and what swung it?

Dartford County Court
It was a different Judge than what was stated on the paper and hubby can't remember his name but I will try to find out some other way.
OH (other half) arrive promptly at 9.30am and wasn't called in till 2.30pm.
The other side's legal rep only approached OH to say hello befofre going in, no other exchange was made.
OH said that as soon as they were in and the proceedings started, the Judge was all over her! OH said he could tell immediately from the Judge's tone and questioning to her, that he was on our side. The judge focused the most on the fact that there were no clear road markings indicating parking bays. He told the rep that he was not satisfied with their evidence at all, that all their photos showed nothing to him, however, our photos and evidence was very clear to him.

OH said that the Judge was clearly unimpressed with what she was saying and was very clear in letting her know that!
She tried to question OH, she said that our photos had no date or time on them, OH said I have them on my phone now if you want to see the date, OH looked at the judge who nodded but the rep said, I can't accept that.
The Judge questioned OH about the outstanding 5 PCN's, asked him if he had recieved court proceedings for these yet. OH said no, so the Judge asked the rep why, she said she had no further information.

The Judge also pulled up some discrepencies with dates from the claimant's side.
Hubby said it was an absolute pleasure to sit back and watch the Judge lay into their rep the way he did. As they left the room, the rep said to my OH, wow, that was tough!
The whole prodecure was over within 45mins.


So, we are not sure what will happen with the otherstanding 5, but we have everything we need if they decide to proceed, bring it on!



Ironically, we had a letter through from Parking Eye yesterday confirming cancellation of another PCN. Hubby got this when visiting a firend staying at the Holiday Inn. A quick call to the hotel and it was dropped, I would never have known to do this if it wasn't for this board.


So a big thank you to you all for your continued patience and guidance through this minefield, I would have have been able to do it without you xxx

Brilliant, and so glad you learnt how to nip a ParkingEye scam in the bud, too. Spread the word among friends, family & colleagues as these scams are beatable.

Love it. Did your OH claim his costs (loss of salary) as he had to ask on the spot?

If you get a new LBC now, go on the attack and do this letter (see link below) to the named Judge as he sounds like one to possibly do something positive to quash any potential claim for the other 5, to save the court's time:

You will get the Judge's name in a short letter confirming the outcome. It won't be a transcript though, but keep it as it will help if you do have to show evidence for yet another claim!
