Well done, Kaz! Those are possibly the best kind. I have got both my part time jobs that way, and although neither of my jobs are where I was in life, they fit with the way life is now. Good luck, but don't forget to leave some time for enjoying retirement!

It's back to work today. Only for a half day as I have a funeral to go to this afternoon.

Looking at my lists, I'm not entireley sure where the last few weeks have disappeared to....:(

Just thinking...Ionafan, are you ok? I might just have missed your posts.

Had a busy night after work with one thing and another and my main aim was to sort the spare bedroom but to be honest I have managed to not mess up the house and that was an achievement in itself! Didn’t feel my best later on last night so had a chilled night, got up this morning, sorted dishes etc and theres a wash ready to go tonight, just add work clothes – spare room sorting will resume tonight!
  • Woke up with a headache again this morning, so have had a couple of parrots and am waiting for it to ease off.

Have sprayed the tiles in the upstairs bathroom, so will rinse those in a minute, and then I need to get myself together to get to another supermarket and actually have some food in the house. Whether or not this happens depends upon whether the headache goes.

  • Hello everyone :)

Didn't really do much yesterday because I was out all day and then went swimming in the evening and felt ill when I got home. Woke up this morning and house is a mess but at work all day so I will have to give it a quick clean when I get home and my son is in bed.

Chilled out weekend this week got a busy week ahead so probably won't get much more than the basics done for a few days

    C xx

  • Did absolutely nothing again all day, other than go outside and put a couple of packets and an empty tin into the new recycling bins.

I appear to be having a sort of migraine. Haven't had them for years, but it's pretty foul. I've got 2 days to get my head sorted, get my legs sorted & get my back sorted, or I'll never make it into work on Monday.

Himself has been visited by our friends on their way through to visit family, so he's had a good day - I didn't tell him that they called me immediately afterwards to update me on how he was (and that he is OK but obviously misses me :( ). They're going to meet up a few times whilst they're down that way to make sure he's alright.

I get the feeling that they're planning to do similar for me when they get back.

Keep looking at the online shopping app on my phone and trying to come up with an order, but I just can't get my head round it at the moment. Which is ridiculous.

  • Hi all

Lovely weather here, just that hint of coolness suggesting that summer is on its way out. Windows cleaned, all rooms (except boys) hoovered, dustied and tidied. Two loads of washing out, another in. DS has brought me a bundle of cricket whites to wash and put away as cricket is over and done with for another year.

Out tonight with friends, looking forward to that. Off to check my finances next so that may reduce my cheeriness level a notch or two.

Hope atb is having a fab weekend away.

    Cooeee Ionafan and Pigpen!

Bathroom swish and swiped, ground floor vacuummed, one load through the WM and pegged out, office tided, gibble that belongs in the loft returned and put away, Twiggle deflead. Now dealing with August finances, during which I made a couple of mistakes, oops, so I need to get back on top of them.
    Better is good enough.

DH is cooking dinner this evening. I'm not sure whether to be glad or scared... When i say cooking, I do of course mean that he is going to slap some chicken purchased by your's truly onto the bbq, for the last barbie of the season. However he has apparently made a marinade. We will see...

I have collect 2 tubs of blackberries. Not bad for an hour's work whilst waiting for DD.
