Not much got done in the house yesterday as was at work all day and was lateish home. But again no money spent, dinner as per menu plan so claiming that as a success. Two portins frozen for DD2 to take back to uni with her so she is happy.

Working until about 2 today so have afternoon to get on with things. Still got a few loads of washing to get done by tomorrow for DD2 but we're getting there. Main areas of house still reasonably tidy although still needs a good clean at least it isn't out of hand.

Took lunch to work, parked in free car park (so no spend and more steps) In an ideal world I will do this everyday to save money and help the diet and fitness, but I know that sometimes the world isn't as ideal as I would like it to be. But am going to report when I do it to try and help it become a habit.

Huge thunderstorm in the night and it blew the electricity so that led to a slow start this morning. We have electric shutters so it was very dark with a big lack of enthusiasm to get out of bed, once up I discovered it was the RCD that had tripped so power restored.

Time to shower, dress, make the bed and make lunch.

    Xx

Forced myself out of bed at a reasonable time. Reasonable for a non-work day, anyway. Last night's washing up put away and DW emptied. Bed stripped and bedding is in the wm, so that I can't take my cuppa back to bed. I'll remake the bed, get dressed, then tidy the kitchen yet again. I have phone call to make to the Council to chase up DD's bus pass for next week, so that is filling me with dread until I get it sorted.

Dentist later, so I really have to fit as much flying in as possible before then.

    Have a good day everyone.

A friend annoyed me last night and it completely knocked me off my stott for all the jobs I was planning to do, and then when I got to bed I was lying there awake annoyed at said friend. This doesn’t happen very often but it is disappointing, so I have twice the work to do tonight but tonight I will do it as it needs blooming done. I’m not meeting others for a dog walk tonight which means I can go as soon as I finish work – the job list is massive but il gloat and tell you all tomorrow lol

Been quite productive already today - instead of my usual trick of making a cup of tea and taking it up to bed and looking on Facebook, I actually brought it into the lounge and had it beside me whilst I did some paid stuff so that's all done now! Also just heard the WM beep so delicates all done and I have the DW on too. Going to get dressed now and get more washing together.

Lots of odds and ends planned for today - nothing major. Really want to get Whiz Whippet out for walk too but knee playing up so will need to ice it methinks.

Have a good day all x

  • I'm beginning to wonder if there was some sort of weird time warp yesterday.
Like so many of you, I looked at my watch yesterday and said 'how did it get to that time?'
I didn't get up from my desk from 8:30 until 4.30 apart from a couple of trips to the bathroom.

Then after some Pickle time, I prepped my bakes for tonight's 'bake along' (couldn't do last night so I'm on a social media black out for the rest of today)

Then I was a muppet and went back to work. 12:15 I finished last night. I've got a big meeting next week the outcome I'm hoping for is more hours, but I've got to fight for them.

    Morning

I've made the bed. There's a towel load swishing in the WM: I've set up my bujo for September and taken everything out of my handbag and sorted it - I was looking for a pen I like and got carried away :D.

    Today looks like:

    2pm coffee at Pat's
6pm meal at the pub with DS, Peter & Sandra.

This morning I intend to drop off two bags of books at the cs and call at the garage to arrange for two rear tyres to be fitted to Pip. It's Wednesday of my week off already!!!! I'm sure that can't be right??

    Round 1 =
    1. get dressed
    2. feed birds
    3. cs / garage / Mr C00p's - we need bread
    4. hang out towels / reload WM
    5. :coffee: / write Christmas lists

Hugs, sticks, spoons being left by the door: please help yourself.

    Much love to you all

    Morning

Been being pro active this morning and getting on with it, instead of sitting and wondering what to do in what order.

Ironing is done and away, plus aircupboard also sorted at same tim.
Actual paid out money, up dated on my chart for the month of August, I am NOT planning on spending any more money this month. I am happy as I am £11.53 under planned budget for the month, this also included the unexpected trip to Vets for the cat, (who is now fine and yesterday went up the tree outside the house, much to the amusement of next door! plus he brought me a mouse last night) so well chuffed with money for Aug.

Removed money out of my paypal account, leaving enough to cover eby fees.

About to start other admin now.

    Then gardening this afternoon............

  • At Aldi for 9am, stocking up on essential bits and bobs. Quick trip to the charity shop resulted in 2 dresses for work for £3 :money:

Heading out to get my eyebrows done shortly with both kids in tow *shudder* then after lunch I need to finalise DH VAT return. Will have to put a movie on to occupy the children whilst I do that.

Old scooter and broken dolly pram put on pavement for scrappies to collect, and a bag of DD outgrown shoes bagged up for the charity clothing drop off point.

    Have lovely days all xx
