Brilliant news all round! Really pleased that you've seen a way to rejig the kids rooms and get more stuff out. I'm planning a ruthless weekend with at least one tip run - the wind has officially killed the wendy house.

Good luck with the budget rejig. I have only had the council tax so far. Hope you get it all around the right way and it all fits. If any one can do it: you can xxxx

Well done on the weight loss and appraisal. Give yourself a pat on the back for being so busy and achieving so much.
Where abouts did you get your matress protector if you dont mind me asking. I struggle to find non plasticky ones. Im pretending to save for the twins grown up beds as they are getting far to big for the cotbeds. I have single duvets already but one twin wears pull ups at night but doesnt really want to anymore.

    Thank you :)

This is the mattress protector I got. The sides are a bit plasticky but the top is quilted so it's ok. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CLSPGVM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you :) I'm not sure how much I'll get done today as feeling a bit rubbish, but will see. DH has told me he wants the computer to prep some listings, so hopefully he will achieve something!

Good luck with the decluttering and tip run. The wind's been a nightmare this week!

Thank you. Yes ours is up £70 :( Water, electric and gas too :( I've been told nursery fees will be going up in May instead of April so at least I get a small reprieve there!

Only when asked at the moment as there's still nothing left! That's generally every 6 months.

If there was a big change which meant I could pay more, I'd send it at that point. I'll probably do that when little miss starts school next year as hopefully at that point I'll have a surplus so can start paying more.

Got the kids to sort through all their books yesterday so they've identified 42 to go :T They are going to look through the ones upstairs today as well to see if there are any up there they don't want any more.

Little miss was poorly yesterday, she went up for a nap then got up complaining of tummy ache and had a raging temperature. She was sick 3 times, temperature went and she was fine again. A bit weird, but hoping that was it. She seems ok this morning, so fingers crossed.

My throat is still sore, it's getting annoying now

DH prepped a load of ebay listings yesterday so will try and get those done, plus mine!

There's a toy and clothing sale near us this morning so we are going to go down and have a look. Little miss seems to have had a growth spurt so could do with some bigger clothes. Hopefully we can find some bargains.

Have a good day everyone :)

  • I hope Little Miss is feeling better now and your sore throat goes.

Did you find any bargain kids clothes at the sale? Forty two books to go is amazing .

Our council tax has gone up £72 for the year too :(. We're a band C so I dread to think how much some of the higher bands have gone up . I'm glad we pay over twelve months as it does help to spread the cost.

Thank you :) Little miss seems ok, but my throat is getting worse. It still doesn't seem to be infected or anything, so I've bought honey and lemon to work with me today to try and soothe it.

There wasn't an awful lot of clothing there, but we did get a few bits. One top for little jwil, and some dresses and a top for little miss. They are bigger sizes so should last a while. The kids also mugged us for some toys and books too :D

We did get an absolutely beautiful dress for little miss, it's purple velvet with embroidered flowers on it. It was M&S and in mint condition for £2 :T I'm putting that one away for her birthday or Christmas.

42 books is a great amount! It's a drop in the ocean. I got them to do the books upstairs yesterday too, and they put most of them to go! Including some that they read frequently :rotfl: so I shall look through them and retrieve some I think they might regret.

We are band C too. We pay ours over 10 months. It would be easier to budget over 12 but I like the free months :D I just budget for the higher amount and then enjoy the extra in Feb and March.

I've been back to the docs this morning and am switching to different medication as the one I'm on has really helped with the anxiety but not helped with my mood. I'm a bit nervous about coming off the one I'm on in case it brings my anxiety back, but will give it a go.

Had a terrible night's sleep last night, and my throat is feeling horrible, so shall dose myself up.

A quiet weekend on ebay which is not a bad thing when I'm feeling like this. One parcel posted this morning, with two yet to be paid.

Not much else to report really.
