    Thank you everyone :)

We are back from our holiday :) We had a lovely time away. It was great catching up with family and I love Orkney (and Scotland). We managed to get out and about a bit, we had pretty good weather, and a good trip up and back (apart from one scary moment on the way back when the car said 'engine malfunction'). DH just pulled over for a bit and then we carried on again with no further issues.

We got back at lunchtime today. Have done a meal plan and been shopping, made a start on the washing, and picked the cat up. I've decided I'm going to sell at the car boot tomorrow so have packed the car. Looking at our stuff, I think we just need to get rid of most of it. I'll see what I can clear tomorrow and then see about going through it all next weekend.

My cleaning and sorting before I went meant that coming home to a (relatively) clean and tidy house was such a joy. It really made a difference, but the clutter is annoying me again already.

I've been completely off plan this week so not looking forward to the scales. I've got a few days to hopefully minimise the damage now! I definitely prefer eating on plan, so I'll count that discovery as a victory regardless.

    Hope everyone is well :)

Car boot done this morning. It wasn't great. A bit cleared but not loads. I did take advantage of DH being at work and bagged a load of stuff for the bin and a load more to go to charity :D:D.

I'm thinking I'm pretty much done with car booting. I don't know if it's my stuff, or if people are just not buying as much any more, but it doesn't seem to go the same way it used to. I've got very little stuff left so will just get shot of it.

Someone has set up a book finding site locally, so I've bought a load of books in which I will hide around places to be found.

DH can continue to sell his own stuff if he wants to.

I've just had enough of 'stuff'.

I like the idea of finding books in the community. A great idea.

Sorry you car boot sale didn't go brilliantly but you decluttered and earned a few pounds and now you know what to send to the CS.

Glad you had a lovely holiday and it does make a difference coming home to a tidier house :D
  • Pleased you all had a good holiday and coming back to a clean house. You've done so well with all your selling so I'm not surprised you're feeling jaded.

I dabbled again with eBay only to find they do the 'Offer' thing now so I started getting silly offers, fortunately bids came in so no need to accept.

Have a good week and I hope SW is kind to you at the weigh in. You've done so well on that.

Jwil I feel your pain with he car boot sales. We also did one on Sunday and only took £20, my friend also stood and did pretty much same. I was very busy though with Bank Hols so I’m guessing people just had too much choice! Got to be easier ways to earn £20 that don’t involve being out the house ridiculously early :rotfl:

I was lucky enough to pick a book up in Plymouth and passed it on again, so when I saw this group set up I thought it would be great to take part.

Thank you :) I hate the offers thing on ebay too. I rarely accet them.

How are you getting on now? xx
