Do you have any family/friends who have a newborn or young baby? When my nephew gave up his dummy my sister got him to give it to their friends baby (they obviously binned it and didn't use it!), so that it was his choice to give it to a baby who needed it more.

Hope you have a good day.x

No I don't but that's a good idea though. I've said the dummy fairy gives them to babies who don't have one though.

That's a good idea, I'd like it gone before Christmas though. Maybe if I'm too chicken :D

I've sold an item and cashed out on PA as well.

Trying to sort out holiday clubs now. I think I've got a plan now, have booked some, and have some more to book when I get paid.

It will be nice to have a bit of time off over the summer though!

Well done on the item sold.

Planning out the holiday clubs and paying for them will see you ahead of the game :)

Good luck with the dummy fairy. When you go for it just make sure you are ready and in the right frame of mind. If that means delaying a day or so because your tired or were up last night dont worry. If you are in a its happening now and im not backing down mood it will ease the pain.
Tell everyone else too so no one gives one by accident as well. I had that and it was not helpful.
Well done on planning the holiday activities. Im very jealous. Last year i promised myself i would have a summer activity fund etc. Ive got 5 weeks till school finishes and a change jar with about a fiver in it. Ooops

Thank you, yes it will also give me less stress knowing that it's all organised!

Thank you, yes, I will definitely have to be strong for it! We read the book last night, and immediately she said she wanted to leave her dummies out. We gathered them all up and put them in an envelope and then half an hour later she wanted them again. I gave in as I wasn't ready yet :rotfl:

This is just childcare for the holidays - we don't have enough holiday to cover them. I'm glad he's trying some of the activity ones though as I won't feel so neglectful. I haven't got anything for us to do activities together yet. We are going to Orkney for a week, I've got to find the money for that too

  • Good luck with weaning her off the dummy. We had to go cold turkey with DS1 when he was a child as he liked drinking out of a bottle in the day time and eventually he got too old so we said he had to use a sip cup instead. He cried and whinged for a whole day but was fine after that and we let him have a bottle at bedtime for a few more years.

I'd love to go to Orkney that will be an amazing holiday :).

Sounding good jwil although very cross in your behalf re the CBT course. Do complain. And appeal. You have two young kids to support and guide.

Have a good day and hope the INSETs are nice rather than stressful!

Thank you :) I'm sure it will be much easier than I expect, just a day or so of upset, but it's hard making that step!

Orkney is lovely. My family live there and we got married there :)

Thank you :) They've sent me through some links for self-help stuff so I'm going to have a look at that. They have also said I can refer again if I get worse, so I guess I'll have to try the self help and then see how I get on once I come off the meds.

Got both kids at home today while I'm working but it will be me and little jwil tomorrow. Weather is looking lovely the next few days :j
