Despite all the cleaning I did last week the house feels no better :( It just looks bad again. Everyone is so messy :( The bathroom has a layer of dust again, I don't know where it all comes from!

I do wonder about myself as well sometimes  It's a tight month this month, so I've just bought a TV! Someone at work was selling one for £30, it's an absolute bargain, and we wanted to get a second one to reduce the arguments about who is watching what. So I got it, and it's fab, but it was totally unnecessary this month.

Well at £30 it would be rude not to :)

If you're watching TV you can't see the dust. I think it's a great plan. I don't think you can beat yourself up about £30 on something you needed.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling the benefit of your cleaning. I hate that. I feel like if I don't do the whole house then the dirt redistributes itself. Drives me bonkers. You are getting there. Not only do you need to save for your home improvements but you need to prepare the house for them too. Keep going jwil. Xxxx

They said it was going to the tip if it didn't shift - that was the decider :rotfl:

Haha I love that. Maybe if I glue myself to the TV then I won't notice all the clutter :rotfl:

You are right. I feel like there's so much ingrained dust and dirt in the house, it will never be clean. The problem is all the clutter will be holding dust so it's never going to be great while that's still there.

It is never ending. I hoped that it would feel better for a while, but less than a week is depressing :(

Thank you :) The kids cleared the top of their chest of drawers - they decided the TV was going in there :rotfl: No chance! It's 37". I'd never get them to sleep!

Stayed the same at SW last night. A bit disappointed with that as I thought I'd done ok.

I set up the TV last night, had to buy an aerial cable as I think I decluttered one recently  However I'd rather buy what I need when I need it than keep stuff 'just in case'. I did still have all the other bits I need for when I connect the spare you view box to it.

It's looking miserable this weekend, so apart from a visit to the library, not much else planned. We were going to go to another fete but I'm not sure it will be worth it. Will see what the weather does.

Hopefully that means we can get some decluttering done. DH had a few things selling today so hopefully that will be more gone.

Tv sounds a bargain. Id have bought it too.
I agree on the cleaning. It never ends. Im convinced our house is dirtier when me and the kids are off even though i should actually have some time to clean

  • I agree that the tv sounds too good to miss.

I bet the house does look better than before you did the cleaning, just not as nice as you'd like it to.

I wish I could spend the weekend de-cluttering but we have a long journey to do :(. I hope you get lots of clutter out of the house this weekend :).
