I haven't achieved much more since I last posted. I did have a spendy day yesterday
My car was in for a recall, so I wandered into town while I was waiting for it. I had a mooch around and bought a dress for £5.99 in a charity shop (I haven't worn a dress for years! It's also a few sizes down but it fits :T ) I then bought 3 t-shirts in a size down :T and once I'd got my car went to Sainsburys and bought 2 vests in the TU sale. That will do me for the Summer now.
Little jwil enjoyed his holiday club at the trampoline place yesterday so booked him in for 3 days in the summer holidays. That was £66 but is paid up now. Shame they aren't doing the full week, but that's 3 days I don't need to worry about now.
Little miss's nursery fees have gone up by £20 a monthOnly just over a year left now.
Paid the final elec/gas bill from my previous supplier as well. So that's me skint again for the month.
I lost 1lb at SW the other day, wasn't expecting that :T I also paid for the 12 week countdown which will take me up to just before our trip to Orkney. I'm hoping I can get to 2.5 stone off by then, that's just over a stone so should be do-able! I haven't told anyone that I'm doing SW apart from DH (and you lot!) so I'm hoping it will start to be noticeable by then and a nice surprise for my MumI'm the only overweight one in my family so I stand out! Everyone else is tiny.
The new filter for the hoover arrived yesterday, so I'll have to give that a test and hopefully be able to hoover without having to pop it in constantly, which is very annoying!
We are off to a village fete today with the kids and I'm wearing my new dress as it's going to be hot.
Hope everyone has a good weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well done on the weight loss Jwil, you are doing really well and i'm sure you will hit your target by your holidays.
Hope you have a great day today xx0 -
Isn’t unexpected weight loss like getting a nice present? Well done on that. I’m determined to hit the bs diet again but I think it’ll probably be July and I’d be happy if I managed a pound a week. For years, I only wore dresses to occasions. Now I love that I don’t need to worry about co ordination and they have become a bit of a go to. I wore one yesterday that had been an optimistic purchase that now just about fits. It was £199 and I got it for £30 in an outlet. Turns out I was so proud of my saving that I’d kept the price label on and only discovered this when I got out of it last night. At least it hung on the inside!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Love the 'price tag' story INOD :rotfl:
Have a great day jwil. Mooching around a village fete in a summery dress sounds just the ticket.
I am also trying to lose a few pounds. About 4 kg I think so will join you on the journey.
Best get off for a run now!!!!

That's an amazing bargain on the dress! You should have worn the label on the outside to show your frugalness :rotfl:
Good luck with getting back on plan. You've done amazingly well. 1lb a week is realistic, and that's what I hope for too, anything more is a real bonus.AdventureWanted wrote: »Well done on the weight loss Jwil. Have fun at the fete.

Thank youI felt much cooler than normal, it made a big difference!
Good luck with the weightloss, I need to start exercising again. That would help tone everything up.
Hope you managed the run, I admire you for running in this heat!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
We had a nice (if expensive) time at the fete. This one is a bit of an upmarket version of a fete. They have lots of organised events and businesses. We prefer the traditional ones with silly games and second hand stalls. It was still good fun though and the kids enjoyed it"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you. I find it rare to see bigger clothing in the charity shops so was surprised about that too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
