Well done on your cleaning list. I took advantage of my son and daughter-in-law's visit on Monday. Two armchairs decluttered to the garage, one will be picked up on Saturday as a friend's OH is in need of a riser recliner chair. I'm keeping mine as my arthritis in my knees is getting worse. They also moved a bed so I can finish painting the room and took the rocking chair upstairs. Decluttered a spare chest of drawers, a plastic set of drawers and some towels.

Last week I had two new 2 seater settees delivered. Makes a huge difference to my sitting room. I'd got rid of the other furniture when Mr Retired was due to come out of hospital and had to turn it into his bedroom.

Enjoy the rest of your week off x

    Thank you :)

Wow, you've been busy too, it's nice that you are able to help a friend out with the spare chair.

I'm not feeling the cleaning love today :rotfl:

I think it's partly the miserable weather. It also feels quite cold. I really want to snuggle up with a book and lots of chocolate, but shall try and fight the chocolate part of the urge.

I've caught up with surveys this morning, and will do my end of month update in a mo.

I took some pork out of the freezer yesterday to do pulled pork but it turns out it's a beef joint so we will have pulled beef instead. The others will have jacket potatoes with it, but I'll have mashed swede, probably use up some broccoli too. Must try and stick to plan!

Luckily the pulled beef tasted fine, so it wasn't a disaster!

We are off out for today, so I shan't be doing much. Meeting a friend and then doing the 'Zog' trail in the forest.

Weigh in later, I think I'll have a gain this week :( I've been on plan, but too many extras!

I used my £10 argos voucher to get little miss some clothing in the TU sale :T

Roll on payday tomorrow! It's been a long month. Next month will be tight too as I have to pay the final bill for the old electricity/gas supplier and I want to book little jwil into the summer holiday club at the trampoline place if he enjoys tomorrow. I also want to buy a countdown at SW which gives me two weeks free and a free recipe book.

  • That's a great idea to put all your debts and aims etc down. When you see how much you have paid since you had your LBM, it puts it all in perspective. I might do that on my diary if you don't mind me borrowing your idea. It might motivate me even more.
Enjoy your day out. Hope the weather is fine for you.
    DMP 2015 £57,549, now £36,112 (37% paid)
    EF £200 Mortgage OP's this year £115

  • You've got so much done Jwil, I'm very impressed. You've done so much cleaning, and well done on the listing :T. Part of improving it is finding places for things to be stored so they're not lying around.

I've got hardly anything done as i've had a horrible virus, so my house is still cluttered and needs a clean.

Of course I don't mind :) It really helps me see how far I've come.
