hi the pdf converter thing only lasts 24 hours!! im ready to send my appeal but now stuck as got to step 5 and realised pdf coverts for 24 hours!!
what do I do? spent all day and night on it!

If you are having problems getting a pdf then the Mse techie forum is the place to go for best advice,!

People who do not "own" word processors such as M$ Word (other processors are available) do not have their own copy of a pdf converter so have to do it online. Sometimes you just have to put up with annoying adverts whilst it does the conversion for you, sometimes, like in the case of Mitzy, it is a trial version.

OP, there are loads of pdf converters out there for free, just pick another one. Do be careful though of picking one that is full of malware or bloatware.

Here is one with free 14 day trial. I only found it by asking Auntie Google and filtering out all the US ones and those with offers to download other "stuff" It is up to you to decide if it is safe.

Ha ve a FULL office suite, for free, with built in PDF conversion.

What a day. Just leaving to go to local pc shop this morning after 2 1/2 hours sleep) and seeing the popla window still open!! then saw Le kirk advice and thought the 14 day free trial would be good. Tried to convert but failed, as could not read document. I realised this site was word to pdf not wordpad which I have so clearly mentioned 100 times. So after my pc froze , nothing would work for 25 min and it sounded like pc was doing stuff...downloading, viruses etc.

At this point I was so stressed and thought my popla portal may have closed and wont be able to submit later, and worst thought the document I tried to convert on le kirk advice may have erased or something as was not word document.

I have since been able to retrieve my appeal (1 hour long) and then went to pc shop. he said he would convert it, put it on USB and he tried to convert but as file was 19 pages long, would take time. Stayed at shop for 1 hour b4 he said he would phone when done so went back hour later and still not done. then 30 min later he told me file is too big. He said nothing else to do. I persuaded him to try and copy and paste from email i sent him and pics not come out !! So he made a pdf file withou tthe pics and i then sent it to Popla... hope this will be ok...fingers cross.


P.S U can start popla appeal and leave and come back (even different pc) though u need to start from beginning, but cant after submitting step 5.

and please no one use that link to convert as will mess ur pc up. thanks

Keith P.. all u seem to do is crawl thru the past posts and advise people the same thing

eg. someone pointed me to libre and u went bak and found a post that was same advice to me 2 weeks back. i cant stop people giving same advice which i dont get !!!!ed like u do and dont want to come here and say ive tried it but download would not complete with new version and to give me something that works.
Also i bet most of your posts are things about people doing duplicate threads and posts which are in wrong section.Seem to always say these things and never right advice abouit actual problems or quiries people have!

If u had helped me 3 weeks ago and not posted about non parking things when I was looking for answers and my thread kept getting replies from u and it kept going down pecking order and I ended up begging for help.. I told u that I didn't want to leave to last min as I knew this is exactly what happens to me. Sods law always applies to me.
U just kept on about posting about duplicates and things that didn't apply to me. E>G not reading my posts clearly and realsing im talking about new pcn.. u just kept telling me to merge, merge and merge all my threads... I tried to tell u that would make it more confusing and just to read my last re- posted post!

Look back, u really think I was asking this and I couldn't do THAT sum.
I talked about weekend being non working days so hard for me to work out what would be deadline.
U see today is 4th Sept and still open. What im saying is I know u want to post, but pls not obvious things and only if u have experience on how long u have managed to stretch deadline..ie 32 days not mandatory answer of 28 days which we all know. sorry
