Which credit cards offer instant online spend upon approval?

can't believe how hard it is to get 1 pence instant spend. I only want 1 pence. It's really frustrating.
The crazy thing is I have had a lot of credit cards over the years, but they have always been cancelled by the bank for lack of use. I even paid 10 pence a month onto one card, so I had a positive balance. They even cancelled that one! I only want it for the section 75 protection on larger purchases and would always pay it off immediately (within minutes of any purchase).0 -
Then maybe you should have a card all ready to go then?0

I appreciate the frustration but unfortunately this process is a part of the anti-fraud and security measures for pretty much every CC company that exists. There is literally nothing you can do about this as it would be open to so much abuse if it was possible. Perhaps if you have family or friends that would let you put £0.01 on their card to qualify for S75 (assuming this is why you want a CC in a hurry?) then pay the rest yourself from a debit card?0

yes but I only use it for one off large purchases. I don't make these very often and every time I come to use a credit card, I seem to have the bloody thing cancelled for non use. It's a bit of a joke really. Never actually made a purchase on a credit card in my life, they always seem to be cancelled before I use them.0 -
Get one and start using it then
Use it for your everyday purchases and then pay if off in full upon receiving the statement0 -
I seem to recall that Barclaycard did used to do this at one point, perhaps 10 years or so ago, but when I applied for a Barclaycard last year they had stopped this practice and it was once again necessary to wait for the actual card to arrive in the post.0

Most of the New day branded cards allow instant spend prior to the card arriving but has been mentioned they are limited to the brand and usually credit limited to £500, they provide a temp card with number and expiry and then security code by text, as a security measure you have to answer 3 questions limited to your credit file.
You could try very or Argos but again you may find they limit your credit limit as a new account. I say them as they sell decent computers.

Probably no use to you now but when you do receive a credit card, to stop it being cancelled just use it once a month for fuel or a food shop0

I think it's mad that in this day and age you have to wait for a physical card to arrive. 95% of all purchases I make are online, and the other 5% is cash in daily life, so a physical card is pretty irrelevant for me.
Is there no way round this? I only want somewhere that can give me 1 pence of credit. I could just borrow 1 pence off them and then I qualify for s75 protectionI came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
You can pay by debit card and have the benefit of chargeback if things go wrong - not as good as section 75 but better than nothing i suppose...
"Chargeback can be used in cases of goods not arriving at all, goods that are damaged, goods that are different from the description, or where the merchant has ceased trading"0
