  • Sorry no experience of them, but always wary about giving bank details for these kind of things - I would stick to vouchers (it's still tax free)

sorry, I've not been able to find an already-existing thread about opinion bar (?)

I was just wondering how long, roughly, it takes for people to receive their payouts? I know it says on the website 'up to six weeks'. Does it usually take that long to hit your bank account, or have you found it's a bit sooner than that? Not really a problem, just seems a long time!

    thanks

I was paid by them once within 6 weeks straight to my bank no problems... However, I cashed out again March and am still waiting for payment!

I would prefer vouchers, but it doesn't seem to be an option with them..

Ah well, let's see if/when the tenner arrives!

They do take ages unfortunately, generally its been 6 weeks for me but once i got missed on the payment run so it was a lot longer. & dont bother trying to contact them, I've questioned the time it takes (when the payment run got missed) & emailed them & their parent company several times not once getting a response

oh dear. good job I'm not in a hurry for a tenner :rotfl: Just glad I didn't let it build up to a higher amount.

I will keep an eye on my bank account and chase them up if necessary. It was only about a week ago that I cashed it in on Opinion Bar, so it doesn't look like I'm going to see the payment anytime soon.

I will think about whether or not to stay with them.. six weeks to wait for £10 does seem a long time, and when other survey companies pay pretty much straightaway, albeit in vouchers, I can't really see how it can take them so long.

.. well, six weeks later and still no sign.

I think I will cancel with Opinion Bar. I can't see any reason why they should take such a long time to pay. Six weeks waiting for a tenner, - I just don't think it's worth it. Shame, as I did like their surveys and didn't often get screened out of them, which is unusual for me!

I have just had £10 into my account on 4th Sept. claimed on 13th Aug.
Have you checked your account to see if the payment is marked as still pending or failed?,Because I think I had a problem with my first claim a few years ago and had to add an IBAN/BIC number into their system as my payment was marked as 'failed'.
This is from their Helpdesk page,
    What is my IBAN number?

These are your international bank details. The IBAN number is an internationalized version of your bank account number. As OpinionBar payments are issued in the Netherlands, we need these details to send you your money.
    What is my BIC code?
The BIC code identifies your bank branch. Sometimes the BIC code is also named SWIFT code. In case you can not find the BIC code of your bank, check if there is a SWIFT code mentioned. When this is not the case, please consult your bank for your BIC code.
It then tells you where to find these numbers on your bankaccounts/statements.

thanks, I have just contacted their helpdesk. My account still shows £11-ish and there's no sign of any pending payments.

I am also a bit concerned that the page where you put your bank details in is not secure, ie there's no https: in the web address and no padlock symbol at the bottom of the page.

Let's see if they get back to me.

I requested a payment on 2/8 and had an email on 7/9 to say it had been processed by Opinionbar. Silverfairy, does it usually go fairly quickly into your account when processed?
    Positive steps every day:j
