Hmmmm. Can't say that I agreed with some of the decisions on last night's show. I thought that Briony should have been the star baker and I think that Rahul should have been sent home. I think he performed far worse than Manon. He seems to have lost all confidence. And I felt so sorry for Kim-Joy. It was torture watching her being torn apart and her in floods of tears and unable to speak! Good luck to everyone still left in.0

I was surprised that it was Manon and not Rahul - he's been brilliant in the past but he performed very poorly this week. Briony has really come into her own, she looked so confident with the doughnuts, and she's very good on timing - that's what let Rahul down.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0

Go team Ruby!....good to see her shine and get star baker...well deserved this week, her rye bread was easily the best and she did well in the other two rounds too.
Paul was super-cruel this week - so many tears!...and no handshake!
I agree that Rahul had a shocker of a week, but Manon really let herself down in the show-stopper. I mean, she is trained as a pastry chef isn't she? And she did plain croissant and pain au chocolat for her Danish pastries? A real lack of flair there...and she also made French bread in the Rye Bread round.

Sounds like a cracker of a show! I'm looking forward to watching on catch-up.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Well THAT was tense!
I'm guessing that folks will have watched the show BEFORE reading this thread....but just in case.....
SPOILER ALERT...I will be mentioning the one who went home!
I personally would probably have sent Rahul home...but I would assume that the sugar/salt debacle in the showstopper was the final straw for poor Briony...I am pleased to see Kim-Joy has made it,although her chocolate mousse was a lucky escape last night...As for Ruby, that girl has surprised me..star baker again ...you GO girl!...Rahul has had a couple of very rocky weeks and has twice been more-than-lucky not to leave....(some very disheartened people these last two weeks who think he should have gone)
One more week to go!0 -
I don't think any of them did very well at the Showstopper last night, Rahul saved himself because his millefeuille apparently tasted so delicious - they looked awful! And he'd gone for very simple items (I don't buy all that 'making it affordable' waffle!). Briony had just given herself too much to do, sad to see her go though. I don't think Rahul can cope with pressure when there is a lot to do .... I think my money is on Kim-Joy. But anything could happen!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. I didn't think there was anything particularly remarkable about last night's round.
Sorry to see Briony leave but she didn't have a good week, Rahul is beginning to annoy me, hope the girls give him a run for his money next week, really looking forward to it!0 -
I really don't like Rahul. He seems to be favouritised! I don't mind who wins as long as it is not him as he seems to have crumpled in the last few weeks. I like Kim-Joy as she seems really sweet and her bakes look amazing. Good luck to everyone left in. Can't wait until next Tuesday to see who wins!0

Well done to the winners. Hopefully you will be rewarded with your badge soon. I am not updating the initial post as I don't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment if they are watching on catch up.0
