I like a nice pie...but some of those last night did not appeal! Anyone for soggy pastry and undercooked fish?

On the other hand, some of the samosas looked REALLY good!

The 'well of love' was a really tricky task...rough puff and choux together....not easy to get right!

Very much interested in next weeks task....many many years ago, I helped cater for a vegan wedding. The smaller bite-size pastries were easy enough - but getting a vegan cake to be stable enough to be tiered up three high (which looked like being one of the tasks - going by the clip at the end) is going to be HARD!

I felt sorry for Dan last night, he'd been so good up until Pastry Week but, my goodness, he did have a bad week!
Manon has been inconsistent - I would have sent her home instead

    Yesterday's episode was great.

Team Jon is now out, I think the choice was fairly clear cut because aside from the baking itself, presentation is a key part of the show. That is why Briony is suddenly improving.

Creative supremo Kim-Joy vs consistently great Rahul I wonder?

  • Its been brilliant this year, I really like Kim-Joys bakes, but Rahul and Briony are so good too.
  • The differences are really showing now - I think Briony has really improved in recent weeks, Rahul has looked like a winner from the start but he's had a few hiccups lately. Really enjoyed last night.

I liked last night's show. it amused me about how they were amazed that vegan food can taste nice! I do think that Manon should have gone over Jon as they said her cake tasted nasty. I also couldn't see how they were considering Rahul for star baker when his cake had collapsed due to him putting to much drizzle on! Good luck to all the people left in x

When they cut into it I thought it looked very wholesome and cinnamon-y, great lets get the recipe I thought. I changed my mind quickly when they said how awful it was :D
