I predict my guy will get about half way.

I will still be following the thread and cheering those on who are still in it, good luck everybody.

I caught up last night. I was wrong about Karen - she seems to be inconsistent in her bakes, although she is obviously skilled decorator. I can see Dan and Kim-Joy making the final. Not at all keen on her style of make-up, its a bit Aunt Sally.

Jon has surprised me nicely! Rahul of course is the one to watch. Is he really so self-effacing, though?

  • Jon has actually hung on longer than I thought and is looking much stronger.

I loved the chocolate spheres ... when I saw you can make them over a balloon I had a fleeting moment of thinking 'Ooh, I could do that' before reality kicked in - I love having friends round, but don't really do fancy meals. I can't imagine spending hours making something like that just so people could watch it melt! I bet Lakeland have a rush on spherical moulds, though.

  • The spheres were amazing, even the wonky ones!

    Well done Dan!

Did anyone else spot the error in the editing?
As Rahul (sp?) stepped away from the judges table during showstopper judging, they showed a clip of all the contestants sitting on a line up of stools celebrating with judges/Sandy/Noel walking towards them - it turned out to be just after they were told that no-one was going home, but about 15 minutes too early! :D

Did they let Prue do the editing?

  • I am Team Ruby...good to see her still there....her roulade looked yummy! (pina colada flavours)

I too am disappointed with Karen...I thought she would be better.steadier than she is.

Is Rahul RALLY so sweet an self-effacing?

When I hear the show-stopper task, my first thought was...I REALLY hope no one is going for white chocolate...it won't hold together well.....

Spice week coming up next week...gingerbread perhaps?

I enjoyed last night's show. I am glad that no one went home as they had all tried so hard. It must be awful to spend hours making something just for it all to go wrong in the last few minutes. I could never go on as I would be in tears the whole time - crying if something went right and crying if something went wrong! :rotfl:
