Why not, reject the ticket and where will it go?

Indeed. What would happen to someone on 9 points? Or for any other reason unable to accept an FPN?

Does anyone else who owns sport cars experience similar stuff?
I enjoy indifference from other drivers. Maybe if I had a sports car and was immature I would have to make excuses for being overtaken.

During a long drive in a MGB Roadster I got tailgated by a van but kept quiet about it as "tranny kept coming up behind" may be misinterpreted.
  • I played Forza once and found the same thing.
Other [STRIKE]players[/STRIKE] drivers overtaking all the time.
  • You'd dare race them in an RX8, your engine may blow up.

problem is, a lot of the standard diesel engines will be faster 0-60 than the rx8. was one of the downsides of it, even though i loved mine, it wasnt that fast in a straight line, and to get the most of it you had to really work the engine. (and then get like 15mpg)

Don't think many diesels even the 2 litre Audis or BMWs can do 0-60 in about 6 seconds. I don't understand why people think all petrol engines are gutless - not all of them are

You'd be quite wrong, also at traffic lights 0-60 times are largely irrelevant, it's the ability to launch and get going that's important, torque is the key. But then having owned an M2 you would've known about that

I thought the RX8 rotary engine is effectively a 2 stroke, so it gives the power of a 3 litre with the fuel consumption of a 5 litre, but claims to be a 1.3.

Aren't they good for over 200BHP? Even with the weight of a rotary engine it ought to go reasonably well with only a 2 seater body.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

It has two rotors, each with a displacement a shade over 1300cc giving a total displacement of nearly 2700cc (or 2.6 litre)

It's not the lightest of sports cars but goes OK. A bit torqueless but you need to use to revs. But, yes it will quite handily beat any 2 litre diesel engine off the line at the traffic lights. Never mind the twists and turns, the diesel wouldn't know which way the '8' went

I don't in my two seater. Maybe it's restricted to rotary engined vehicles.

Perhaps they think the OP is a Wankel.

I have an MX5 which is not a fast car, but it does handle very well and is great fun to drive. For some reason boy racers in hot hatches enjoy cutting me up, especially on a sunny day when I have the roof down, but I let them get on with it. I couldn't keep up with them anyway, and I bought the car for its driving pleasure, not to make some obscure point.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
