So glad you had a good night out CR! I love your description of the dancers, people watching on a night out is truly eye opening! :rotfl: I love a good boogie myself though :D

Today we went out to Potteric Carr (yorkshire wildlife trust) with my dad and his wife. To be honest we didn't see a great deal, but the sun was shining and we managed to get a hide to ourselves for lunch (homemade and healthy). It was good to catch up as dad has been ill again and after 3 hours you could tell he'd had enoughso we went for a warming drink before we went home. Managed to get some metal straws which I've been thinking about especially since my night out the other night. Before I could say 'I don't need a straw' they'd wacked one in. So I'll be armed and ready next time. Everyone in our household has hit the wall, infact DH is in bed already. The girls have planned a flop day for tomorrow and I have OU work boo hiss.

  • Still plodding on with the OU, cancelled trip out to see gran tomorrow (she didn't know my sister the kids and I was going as was to ring in the morning) and rearranged for a week on Saturday when assignment will be in. Been thinking about DH and mine week away and so far we've come up with 2 days near Kew gardens, 2 days at Knepp rewilding project and then we're not sure of what else we'd like to do. London its self is not on the agenda. We like walking and wondered if anyone had any ideas for the 3 remaining days in that area? Not spent a bean today as been a busy bee at OU work. Had an enjoyable walk with the dog and had a good chunter to mum about my OU and my non mathical brain. DD2 is starting to get stir crazy as she wants to go out, so calling in the cavalry for tomorrow. Feel abit guilty but needs must at the moment.
Had to phone the child benefit line to ask them to send a copy of our entitlement as the bank who we are remortgaging with want to see we are claiming for 2 children. Dreadful service tried doing an online chat - busy:mad:, phonecall- 20 minutes it took to get answered and then only a 2 minute conversation:mad:. The bank also want to see a copy of our passports to check we are who we say we are. Will send them tomorrow by recorded delivery. Busy, busy, busy, need to fit in a trip to the hospital to pick up DD2 medication. Hope you all have a good evening.

Not sure how far you want to cast your net, but both of these are in Sussex, and they're pretty good:

So yesterday was an good/bad day but trying to be positive about the bad part. So I made the decision to defer my course as basically my brain is not geared up for the degree level math/physics and chemistry module that I've been doing for the past couple of months. I had to have alot of help on my last assignment, but this one (and the last one) all I could read was blah blah blah and if it wasn't that it was in some ancient language whose meaning is lost in time. Made absoultly no sense to me and made me feel really dumb. However I decided I've enough things to concern myself with in relation to family this year that I wasn't going to make myself ill over it and just rang the OU. They were very helpful and gave me advice on what to do. So I'm no longer a student. Cost implications are that I will have to pay 25% of this year fee but its added onto the student loan and lost my deposit (£280) for the residential course I will no longer be going on. My mum gave me this money so will need to find £280 from somewhere unless she lets me add it onto the car loan that we are paying back at the moment. So that was the bad part of the day (did take up most of it). So after a couple of hours I eventually began to look at the positives.
    1) Mental health intact:D
    2) More time for family life:p
    3) More time for the allotment and gardern;)
    4) Time to look for voluntary work:cool:
    5) Start training for my walking challenge:rotfl:
    6) I can continue my degree in October with a more suitable module.:T
    7) Start work on the house.:j:eek:
Already making good progress with no.5 yesterday an hours walk with the dog, 20 minutes of yoga and 30 minutes of swimming. Healthy eating shhhhh not so good as comfort ate before and after phone call washed down with several glasses of wine.
Started to take the Christmas decorations down.
TT of £4.45 (don't usually go for pounds in my TT but have penalised myself for not doing a TT yesterday, hoping this will ensure I do it everyday)
Anyway here to a new day hope you all have a good one.
