How to hurt the parking companies?

Great example of a local initiative, especially inviting the involvement of the retailers rather than it just becoming a group of disgruntles having a rant over a couple of pints.I'm setting up a local group to bring attention to one of my local operators, retailers will be invited so they understand the aggrevation caused.
We'd love to know how it progresses. It could be a real exemplar for rolling out. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would imagine that every CEO of the retailers are fully
aware of this scam and the only action they take is when
someone complains .... they know all about the problems.
Lidl are famous in their copy and paste replies stating it's
because of abuse they employ these monkeys.
With more and more supermarkets opening up in areas
to steal business from others, they all have car parks,
they are all fighting for customers who do not exist
to keep every store running.
My nearest Morrisons, ever since they took on Parking
Eye, has a car park that is always half empty, a half empty
car park is not abused.
I keep saying this is much deeper. If the CEO is not
corrupt, then who is, who takes on these vermin,
who signs the contracts, who has an offshore account,
who has a villa abroad, who has expensive holidays etc etc.
For what other reason would the CEO allow his bread and
butter customers to be penalised and harassed ???
Applicable to landowners and MA's as well0 -
Indeed, couldn't agree more.
The larger retailers are probably a lost cause unless we get serious footfall drops - even then, they've still got a job (plus whatever incentives they get).
Initially I can see more progress being made on the smaller retailers where feedback and Facebook reviews ARE essential - these are the sorts of parking sites where the rules can change frequently every time the PPCs see a drop in revenue. Even where businesses can't affect the parking (e.g. a local restaurant with a nearby scammers car park), they could warn customers of likely trouble - and at the same time reducing the !!!! Turpin tax. Please read the stickies, your question and situation will have been covered before. Don't be so sure - these companies have extensive detail of your vehicle's movement (and thus yours) through their network of ANPR cameras - the response I received from ParkingEye to my subject access request was really quite alarming - 12 months of my movements to various locations around the country.
Very alarming, would also apply even if you did not GET a ticket
with ANPR ...... Maybe an investigation by the ICO
Defo one for the press/media0 -

Correct, I have never had a ticket from ParkingEye yet they are keeping data on all of my movements for 12 months. I have written to them requesting deletion as once they have established that no parking contravention took place there is no legitimate reason to keep it - they are considering my request.0 -

I have never had a PE ticket but that is because I will
not stay in a PE run car park to which I have told many
retailers the reason why.
BUT I have driven in and out so with the PE dodgy ANPR,
I guess they will have my details.
I will SAR them which everyone should do now you have
highlighted this.

You do sometimes get the opportunity to meet the CEO as part of a customer focus group. I am part of several customer focus groups and working to get into others. I have met a CEO as part of the role. This company was interested in feedback from their customers. Some are just paying lip service.
@luverlyjubbly your post is spot on. I found myself in a very difficult situation and was told that I should have moved my car. The only way I could have moved my car was to head back home (an hours drive) as I would have missed my train and had business to conduct which was time critical. I am sure that the machines had not been emptied that morning.

@Neilcr.
Lucky in some ways but the area does have problems with fires especially during the very dry spell that we have had recently. High Peak is also suffering. People who do not extinguish their cigarettes, glass bottles left about can start a fire, disposable barbeques not put out. These people rarely get fines or end up in court yet do thousands of pounds of damage. Yet put the wrong number into a terminal and you are in for a lot of hassle.
