Over the moon, the ring came yesterday from No1 Rock Avenue, exactly as described, with certificate, i just hope she says Yes! Maybe it is not so romantic as choosing at a jewellers, however I have saved at least £1000 which will pay for a few romantic weekends away. I have listed some pics below just for your interest

    colour g..ish

    and si or above

will anyone give e an idea of what i should pay seen a lot on ebay from israel and usa with fantastic feedback etc.

    Any advice or direction welcome..
  • Hi,

Why not get a quote from Nicholas at No1 rock aVenue. You can see the ring I bought above and it was fully certificated, he offered a variation of sizes and grades.
He has been on ebay for over 4 years now and has 100% feedback, so i was not concerned about spending so much money over the internet.
He is also England based which in a way i felt more comfortable with.
I hope this helps and Good luck.
BY THE WAY SHE SAID YES !!!
  • I bought my engagement ring from Ernest Jones and needed a wedding ring specially made to ensure it sat properly when I was wearing them together. I did some digging around on the net and came across No. 1 Rock Avenue - a jewellers based in Bath. To cut a fairly long story short - I contacted them and they very soon came up with a design which was exactly what I wanted, and at a price I could not have found anywhere on the high street or even in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham. The communication with the company was excellent and the service was very efficient. I was worried about sending my engagement ring to them, but it was no problem at all. Anyway, if you're looking to buy a ring for a special occasion I can thoroughly recommend these guys! :j

Our wedding rings were from a local jeweller, handmade, cheaper than getting them from a high street one because he bought the lump of platinum himself and made the 2 rings from it.
if i thought I could only afford 9 carat gold I would rather shop around or save for a bit longer
The ring chosen by the OP is beautiful, well done!

What about BidTV. They keep banging on about the clarity, cut, colour etc of their jewellery and I have seen 2 carat rings starting at nearly £2,000 go for under £600!! Not sure what they are like in the flesh, but they have a returns policy and some of the presenters are really funny which is why I flip over sometimes.
