I don't click on links provided by new members, I worry about viruses, thanks anyway.

Go on, tell the truth and shame the devil. The reason you wouldn't click it, was that you could see (from the title of the link) what it was about. I suspect it is a charge that has been put to you before.0 -

Look .... the Council's (Local Authority's) obligations are no different to those of any other landowner ... if it's on your land, it's your problem.
Council land is, generally (but not always) public land - when they remove rubbish from "public land" they are doing so because they are the landowner (although, in addition, they have a "public" duty to do so).
So whether you are a Council or a landowner ... if it's on your land, it's your problem.
Wehn certain people demand certain "public" services, they might want to consider the priorities for the spending of Council Tax. Or, if they want to maintain all existing public services in addition to the new service (e.g. removal of flytipping from their own land), the increase in CT that this would require
If your house is dirty, you surely don't insist that the Council comes out and cleans it because you've "paid your Council Tax" ... or do you??????Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

Nope
I didn't need to as I know the difference between pedant and pedantic. But your link specifically pointed to "pedantic" and when I asked, you confirmed that the link - as quoted - referred to the poster.
Nuff said
Although none of this assists the OP in their original question

Are you the same person as thesaint? Your style seems very similar. Here is what the link states:
Pedant
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
A pedant, or pædant, is a person who is overly concerned with formalism and precision, or who makes a show of learning. The corresponding (obsolete) female noun is pedantess. The term comes from the French pédant (1566 in Darme & Hatzfeldster's Dictionnaire général de la langue français) or its source Italian pedante "teacher," schoolmaster, pedant. (Compare the Spanish pedante.).
Next time check the link before you put your foot in it.0
