I'd put it in the road - after all its not yours! If they come to tell you its yours tell them you dont know what they are talking about.

I didn't mean to sterotype but the council enforcement offcier said that if I was on benefits that they could look at helping me and removing it.

I have paid three times already this year to have fridges/washing machines/sofas removed from this and another property legally.

The council will not return my calls now despite promising me on Tuesday, three days ago, that they'd go round to the property, have a look at the situation and check local CCTV.

I despair with them, its a bunch of clowns running that specific council!!!

Can you not break it down until it fits in a wheelie bin, Its amazing what you can fit in one. The biggest Item i managed was a knackered VW Beetle engine, made one hell of a noise when tipped into the machine though :D

someone i know has a path next to their house, someone dumped a whole load of rubbis there, he asked for it to be removed and they said they wouldnt as the property belonged to him (news to him!) and if he didnt move it within x days they would penalise him for it!, so he had the stuff removed and a fence added around the new addition to his property :D

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

do you have an elderly relative?

they have other uses other than just B and Q wednesdays you know.... ;)

I take my excess large rubbish and fridges when I go round to my dad's. He is over 60. He calls our same council, and he gets it collected for free, whereas I'd have to pay £25.

sometimes i make him come and collect it too! :D

That's a damn good idea actually. As retailers are now required under EU law to take away old items.

Just buy a cheap £60 fridge from Currys and have it delivered.

that would be the p*ss directive

    oh sorry

The fridges/washing machines I've got rid of already this year were ones that were left in the property when I purchased them.

The one in question which someone has kindly dumped in-front of my door is disgusting and rusty. I wouldn't even touch it.

All building works are finished at the property now so I do not have access to a van. I can't even pick the thing up to move it and it certainly wouldn't fit in my car.

I am phoning the council every hour so hopefully they will get so fed up of me they will come and move it.
