No and No. Keep the paperwork just in case but no need to reply.

  • We've just received one of these letters relating to a speeding fine from 2018 which I paid in Feb 2019 (when we finally received the notice) - did they take further action regarding your infringement?

The poster hasn't visited the forum for 12 months, so I suspect you won't be getting a reply.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

  • I received a letter from Waters & Gate last week demanding £775 for 2 driving offences in Turin in August 2014 when using a hire car and sat nav. Isn’t it too late by now to be asking for this? It took Turin over 2 years to request a fine, and not heard any more since then until this letter from Waters & Gate.

Totally outside our scope, we deal with private parking tickets in the UK only. We don’t even touch driving offences in the UK, let alone Italy.

But if you read further back in this thread, original poster peelaaa received similar W&G correspondence, ignored it and all has now gone quiet. I wouldn’t think your case would be any different.

Our general advice re debt collectors is to ignore them and make no contact with them. This thread tells you as much as you’re going to get here.
