First "review" seems relevant, if real.
also there is one that says "A note to guests that Thomas Cook advertise this hotel as a family friendly hotel whereas a German Airline advertise this hotel as a 18-30 clubbing hotel. There was a little noise during the day however this may have been down to the world cup?"0 -
Seen it Lorraine..........looks like they were offered a change of hotel but we haven't been.....anyway as they say we have to suck it and see....no options available? ......No point in harping onCampaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

This is how Airtours (part of Thomas Cook) describe the hotel on their website -
:-: The smartline Madara is a fantastic choice for an All Inclusive holiday in Bulgaria. Fuss free, smartline's vibrant design and spacious rooms are just the start when it comes to this hotel. Enjoy the buffet restaurant and All Inclusive bar as well as lots of sports activities and entertainment to keep you busy both day and night. Popular with the youth group market, it can get lively here. Please Note Adult-only bookings will only be accepted if all adults in the party are a minimum of 18yrs. Year round, the atmosphere at this hotel can be very lively.:-:;0 -

Yes, exactly as I said, TC have no control over the way other TO's sell a resort.
I don't know what more they could have done if it's only now becoming apparent to them from feedback that it now has a reputation as a party resort.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Westin's post, no.14 - would appear there is no case to answer from Thomas Cook's perspective.
Unless said description was not published when the OP booked.0 -

That's one of the great things about Thomson [now Marella] Adults Only cruises.....there definitely ain't any children, just Adult kids at heart.
Next one for us is starts in Palma on 27 October, and finishes in Barbados. 15 nights AI, including flights, transfers, tips, the ish @ £1.243pp0 -
Westin try reading the original post correctly, you too PeachyP.
When the hotel was booked it was not described as "Popular with the youth group market, it can get lively here. Please Note Adult-only bookings will only be accepted if all adults in the party are a minimum of 18yrs. Year round, the atmosphere at this hotel can be very lively"
As I have said it was advertised as a family hotel..........thomas cook have changed their description possibly because of in resort complaints
Part of my My original post........
"it wasn't advetised as lively, neither did we book a lively holiday"Campaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

In addition Thomas cook went to the trouble to phone me and send an e mail attatchment to inform me....... "the hotel "can be popular with younger groups and the atmosphere at the hotel can be lively"
If it had been described as the above at the time of booking why on earth would they have to Ring and e mail me............I would have know.....wouldn't I?Campaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

I'd say your worse problem is that Bulgaria really isn't very nice (although the scenery in the bits which are no where near where you are going is) and the Black Sea coast is the worst bit.
Golden Sands itself is a holiday hell pimple on the buttock of the Balkans.0
