Found it - thank you.
Does anyone know where I can find the laws around the height and size of parking signs? particularly the height as the signs in this case were not higher than 5ft from ground to top of the sign.
Is there anything else essential I should be including based on my defence?
Thanks in advance0 -

There are no laws
There are guidelines in the code of practice, which amount to them being vissible and legible. If they can be blocked by other vehciles, they are not visible.0 -
Thanks. Will reword point number 3 to take out legal requirements and perhaps relate it to the sign not being adequately positioned as per the high bar set in Lord Dennings Red Hand Rule.
or
Could I put simply that the signs erected on this property do not meet the satisfactory requirement of being prominent and in clear line of sight as you can clearly see in evidence P2, P4 and P5? As the red hand rule is already mentioned in the defence.

Either would be fine.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Today I have recieved the witness statement from the solicitors in the post. Included within it is some photos of the land where the sign can be seen with cars parked there, however, its taken from a much greater distance that is not reflective of the view I would have had when I left my vehicle. The photo they have provided was actually taken from the middle of the road so I think is completely irrelavant in the case.
Can I quote the witness statement and photos in mine ? I feel I have a one up now as they have not yet seen my evidence. Also I have only just recieved their defence should I have recieved it sooner?
Thanks all!0 -
What do you mean by "I have only just received their defence should I have received it sooner?"
They are the Claimant. They don't write a Defence.
Have they perhaps responded to your Defence?
Don't be late filing and serving your Witness Statement.
Post #50 above said it is due tomorrow - actually it said Thurs 25th.0 -
Ah sorry, It says "The Defence" so yeah they are replying to my defence.
I am filing this evening just wondered if its ok for me to reply to direct points in their witness statement in mine?
I am ok to email my evidence and WS to the solicitors right?
Thanks0 -
Also, where do I file the WS and evidence for the court ?0
-
tells you on your court letter
the court and claimant each need copies of the bundle
yes your WS can address anything in their WSFound it - thank you.

this is being discussed in the new Parking Bill and by the government department, so hopefully will be of use in the future when the new CoP becomes the norm0
