Hi, I have received a Parking Charge notice from Euro Car Parks re overstaying. I have 14 days for £50 otherwise £90. I have looked at the Newbies section and i am overwhelmed by the information. The letter from them has a photo of the reg plate. I have taken no action yet.
Please help.

Take the time to come to grips with the FAQ
#1 covers what to do initially so concentrate on this
There is a template appeal for you to copy and send it you follow this advice and study those FAQ0 -
Number 1 refers to a council, this is euro carparks, i see no faq on this hence my question.0

You need to read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.
In there you will find an already written blue template appeal.
Send that to ECP.
Send it without change or addition.
Send it as the keeper.
That's all there is to it.0 -
I think ive found the template.0

DO NOT name yourself as the driver
you can put that
AN OCCUPANT of the vehicle is a BB holder and is covered by the EA2010
the words "MY , ME , MYSELF & I" should never be used
any appeal is as KEEPER, nothing else , the keeper of the vehicle is appealing , so KEEPER only
give the correct details for the keeper0 -

Why are you going to add anything?
By ignoring what it says in the FAQ (and KeithP's advice above) you look to be heading to tell them who was driving
But of course you tell them your real name and address etc!
(What would be the point of making up names and addresses???)0 -
No you must not say that.
You could perhaps say that the driver was carrying a disabled person, but why add anything?
See the subtle difference?
Now please edit your posts to remove clues to the driver's identity.
There is no place for the word 'I' when describing events on the day.
It was the driver shopping all day with the service user.
The parking companies scour these forums waiting for people to trip themselves up and can use your posts against you.0 -
There are pages and pages of information i dont understand.0
-
personally, I would do what I said and add the EA2010 addition I suggested, nothing more (you do this so they are on notice about the disabled person being carried and they need to make "reasonable adjustments)
put the keepers name and address and any serviceable email address, even a new gmail address just for this purpose will do (but no lies)
appeal as KEEPER, not registered keeper, not driver , nothing other than KEEPER if that option exists (Registered Keeper if KEEPER isnt there)
and edit your posts to remove any idea of who was driving
only a fool blabs on the internet and thats not you , so edit post #1 asap0 -
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You do need to take that advice on board and edit your posts to remove details of who was driving
(And do take care not to reveal who was driving if altering the template appeal)
The ppcs monitor here and can use your posts against you0
