Twas me Kaz. Cakes made. I kept to old fashioned stuff and ones I can't really eat myself, so from the Be-Ro recipe leaflet - jam tarts, rich jam sponge thing, coconut rocks, and then some cheese straws. That will do. Kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it.

Now have workman arriving soon, so must get dressed.

    Hung out washing.
    Went to gym.
Then sat lazily around for too long so have put radio on and am doing at least a HHC.
So far have stripped bed and put washing on.
    Washed up, in fact wudupa.
    Emptied compost bin.

Two loads through the WM and out on the trolley and lines. Currently spot-cleaning the dining room carpet because it was smelling of Kelpie's bones and I need to take some photographs in there. The damp spots haven't improved it's photogeneity, so I might have to leave that bit until tomorrow.

Kelpie saw the vet about his eye and pain relief yesterday. The vet is thrilled with his eye, as am I, his pain meds were upped. He's a much calmer, happier dog today. So relieved.

One cane on my favourite autumn fruiting raspberry has survived being treated appallingly badly and is groaning with fruit so I've fed it, watered it and apologised to it. New shed is arriving tomorrow. OH is unnecessarily excited.
    Better is good enough.

all yesterday's laundry, and ALL today's ironed and away; maidens away.
3 beds stripped and remade with fresh linen.
Tea made (cottage pie) and veg prepped. Have made a double and a single, in case DS doesn't want any; in which case the single will go in the freezer.

Gardening done, strawberry bed looks so much better.
Cat has 2 Ab's jabs as he has an infection, the vet thinks due to fighting / or a bit. Bring him back on Monday if he doesn't seem any better.

1st load of washing in and put away, 2nd lot on line.
    Made up bed.
Cleared and wiped kitchen surfaces and lots of appliances.
    Swept and mopped kitchen floor.
Wrestled with internet settings after phone call purporting to be from provider, bad English made me suspicious. If we ever move house, decent connection will be high on my priority - it's pathetic here.
Cut back a load of shrub, started to prune fruit bushes.
Mr N back from mil so cup of tea next.

Just checking in. We are back from our holibobs. We all enjoyed it, although I seemed to manage to argue with DH every day :(. I have decluttered a nap in the name of jetlag, and washed and dried 2 loads of washing. The 3rd load is in and ready for the morning.

DH has scarpered to the pub, DD is on the promise of a film night imminently. I have made popcorn and a cuppa in anticipation.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all in need. I've missed being here. Xx

    PS belated happy birthday, Wish!

I won't bore you all with how little I've done over the past two days - suffice it to say that I'm still working my way through yesterday's list. I did dust the LR this morning, but I don't think DH got round to hoovering :(

Also in my defence, I took a young friend and her baby out to lunch in the park today, and that took nearly four hours out of my working day. Rosie also claimed her customary hour-long walk.

The dentist has removed my stitches so I am more comfortable eating now. Bad move, as I have demolished half a packet of oatie biscuits in one sitting

Ah well, tomorrow is another day...
