Morning all. Hugs etc where needed. Good luck to anyone picking up their results today.
I haven't been doing much flying and can see my holiday just disappearing before my very eyes as my GUAG is gone. It is raining today, so I may attempt to clear a months' old frog. We shall see.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Happy birthday wishing:bdaycake:
Yesterday I cleaned kitchen and bathroom, ironed what I had washed and ran a couple of errands.
Have washed 3 loads, it's raining atm but I might get it out later. Or tomorrow.
I've also unpacked and put case away.
I cleaned the sleep part of the hutch.
By bedtime my knees and ankles were agony....have hobbled to get a coffee. I'm now stiff.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Happy Birthday, wish.
We arrived home just before 10.00 yesterday evening after 3 very enjoyable days away, culminating in the planned Flymeet yesterday. A delicious pub lunch was followed by an amble (at DH's pace) round the local RSPB reserve where all the feathered inhabitants apart from a single swan, a handful of mallards and a couple of coots kept themselves so wffell hidden that we couldn't spot them :rotfl: Great to meet you and MrN at last, Narc0!
Great to meet you too. And I will confirm that you did hav a salad for lunch and a tiny dish of ice cream, hardly big enough to mention.
Lots of rain here so today will be the continued onslaught of the roomofdoom aka my study. Interspersed by a trip to the gym for a training session with the shoulder-fixing instructor.
Fingers crossed for those getting exam results.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Was on holiday from work last week and had the house suitably tidy, I would say immaculately clean for it. I only stayed away the odd night here and there but it was awfully nice coming home to a tidy house, I had a couple of free hours on Friday so made a start then on the holiday washing. Was so pleased with myself. Scroll forward to Wednesday and I have had smart meters installed dentist trips, work and all sorts going on that a, I have had time to spin and b, im knackered so housework and flying will resume tonight after a dog walk. The dinner will be an oven minimal work job so I can cr4ack,. Theres nothing better than the smell of flash and bleach,
This weekend I must do some weeding, recent rain and they all start appearing again!0 -

Kaz, many thanks for the dip recipe, I've snagged it and put it in my file; I have a load of mint growing in pots on the patio. I wouldn't use chilli flakes in it either, I loathe chilli.
Jojo all I will say is you must have the patience of a saint!
Narc0 I hope you're able to recoup your losses re the phishing. A friend of ours had his cards scanned by a crook while they were in his wallet; total taken, over several cards, was over £4K, but thankfully he got it all back. He's now bought one of those wallets that resist scans *checks for proper name * - RFID blocking wallet. Mr LW has also bought one, and I got a little RFID card holder for my cards, so that it can't happen to us. I was wondering if that's what happened to you maybe?
Wishing Hoppy Birthday, mate:beer:
Parkinsons clinical specialist visit decluttered yesterday; she's left a load of literature, which Mr LW is currently reading. It was quite scary; at one point she asked us about wills/power of attorney, that sort of thing  (all stuff we attended to when we first got married, in fact). I've spent all night suffering the "fallout" as I always do when dealing with Other People.
And *someone* has taken the last of the AAA batteries without saying anything or writing it on the shopping list, and I need two for my vibrating alarm clock. :cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
OH gave me a heap of 'stuff' to list on eby for him, which I have done, as I had nothing else to do currently, 2 items now have watchers .

I have no idea whether Himself went to bed at all or not last night, but the limit of my involvement has been to stuff my ear filters into my handbag and put my cup beside the sink.
After the customary 1h+ delay for the train, we're busy attracting disapproving looks from the rest of first class. Maybe it's the squashed YS cheese and onion pasties?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
