Sammy, he seems back to his usual self today, thanks for asking. A few people have reassured me a bit that the occasional bit of 'odd behaviour' is par for the course with autism spectrum disorders, so I'm trying not to over-react, because I don't want Ryan to think of it as a big deal.
I'm naturally a real worrier though, so it's hard to fight the instinct to panic!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Thank you!! I am going to be working in a prison, tutoring inmates in any or all of the following:

entry to employment
business studies
personal motivation and goal setting

yayyyyyyy!!!! :T
I phoned MFI again about the wrong handles for my furniture. The girl I first spoke to (same one I spoke to on Wed who promised to call me back yesterday and didn't) said I'd have to pay £56 for the 8 handles  . She then passed me to a colleague as she said she had to go and pick up her daughter........and I managed to get them for free
He asked if they were for bedroom furniture and I explained (again) that I'd been sent 8 curved handles and the rest straight an that there was no way I'd have bought half one style and half another (true!). He said 'sounds like you spoke to a right idiot when you bought them'...........and said 'there you go, I've put them through for nothing'........;)
And I didn't even have to flirt with him !! (my next plan of attack!!!

Hypno, that's wonderful news. I hope you have lots of fun. Any ideas when you'll start work?
Will you have to do a CRB to work in the prison?

I have to wait for CRB and other bits to be done, but they can fast-track it apparently, so hopefully starting before the end of the month which would give my first pay packet at around Christmas - bonus!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
