Money Boxes

Hi All,
I have just had a debate (arguement) with my OH. He wanted to know why i have 7 (yes seven) money boxes scattered around my bedroom. SO i explained that they were to put my change in and he understood that but he couldnt understand why i spend ages (well i dont think it is ages but he does) sorting the coins out and putting them in different boxes. I have 1 for £2 & £1 coins, 1 for 50ps, 1 for 20ps, 1 for 10ps, 1 for 5ps, 1 for 2ps and 1 for 1ps.
I will explain my madness, i have been given all these money boxes as gifts over the years and when i started being a bit more money savvy i decided to use them and for a while i just stuck whatever change i had i a box and counted it up when it was full. Then one evening after moving back in with my mum and being a bit down in the dumps i decided that i would have one for each denomination of money so i did. Now i just chuck all my change on the side then sort it out normally on a sunday evening.
DOes anyone else have weird ritual type things about money or saving??

Although when I go to strip clubs I put a fiver in their suspenders but take a tenner back so they don't notice!

I have a terramundi for £2, a dog for 20p, a money box for 5p and a tin for copper. 50 and 10p stay in my car for parking until the pocket is too full then I take some out and add them to another savings tin.Saving a house deposit. Member no.7 100% of target

I've got a terramundi for £1 and £2 coins, this is holiday spending money. Then I have one of those huge whisky bottles which everything else goes into. Funnily enough it lives in the laundry room because i always get tons of change out of hubbys pockets. I usually wait until it is full then use it for christmas shopping. Last year I had almost £500 in there!:A

Toto, that is downright spooky!
I've got a terramundi for £1 and £2 coins too!
God knows how much is there at the moment, but last year I spent about 3 hours shaking it to get the money out without breaking it as I couldn't bear to part with it! There was about £500 and a lot of clay dust. And a cute little 'philosophy' a bit like a fortune from a fortune cookie.
We also have a big old wkisky cask we put coppers in. You can get the money out by lifting the lid but the rule is no emptying it until it's too heavy to lift without the risk of bodily harm (admittedly I am a scrawny weakling) and it usually yields about £100 at a time!!! It is emptied probably once a year.0 -
i have a terramundi for £1 and £2 coins and then i have a vw camper for 2p's & 1p's and then i have a sealed tin (with a cow on) for 5p's

I have the big tins you can't open without a tin opener. All my money for change challenge goes in there, my £2 coins and any other bits -pin money, under budget etc. I put a date on when I start it and empty it when it's full! This is normally our holiday spending money, or for christmasHoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

I have a money box for £2 coins, one for £1 coins and a decorated (and very well washed!) pringles tube for everything else. Last time I emptied them was in July for holiday money and I'll be emptying them again soon for Christmas. Actually, I have to admit that I emptied my £1 money box back in May because I'd seen some fabulous Nine West shoes and I knew I had enough in there to pay for them! The woman in House of Fraser didn't look too pleased when I turned up with 60 £1 coins!!! LOL!0
