Well of course you will now take a screenprint of the BWL account closed page.

    That might be useful later.

Screenprint done, found some paperwork, it was demanded before BWL by Debt Recovery Plus ltd, the same case, both state the same parking charge date which is 05/01/2014.
I also found reply from 4/40/2018 after I filed defence via MCOL from HM Courts&Tribunals Service of acknowledgment of my defence. If claimant wished to proceed, the claimant must contact the court within 28 days after receiving a copy of defence. After that period has elapsed, the claim will be stayed. The only action the claimant can then take will be to apply to a judge for an order lifting the stay ( which is what they have done, even so letter came by post, not special signed for delivery which I would expect ), well so not sure if to respond as 6 years are gone, now.
I have got phone No for that Northampton where I received the letter from so if no other advice obtained from here, will ring them tomorrow as there is nothing to mediate about, would consider counterclaim, but do not bother, funny enough they bothered me many years with the same claim and debt recovery people that they would maybe deserve some action...

They had six years to start a claim, which they did. The case is still active therefore until the courts say otherwise.

Good point @Fruitcake, therefore your best attack is the fact that you have a letter of discontinuance.

Agree with our great posters above

This really is a strange one and I can't help but think this is another BWL c*ck up

This is the same as the other half dozen seen this past week from 2018.  Please read the other threads we've replied on recently and you will find the same thing.  We've told people how to complain to the CCBC but we can't repeat the same thing on all threads.

I am not linking it, but the thread by @inasanalias is then exact same and we posted advice there.

Have you looked at the two consultations we need you to do?  You can cover this situation and suggest that the Wider Framework stops this ever happening again.

Yes @inasanalias case is similar with the same wording - my deadline in 28th of September.
I need to have a look on how to fill in DQ, but logging in complaint will be first I suppose to sent special delivery into that CCBC in Northampton.
Was hoping that regardless of MCOL 2 years ago case would be out of date because of 01/2014 penalty...
    Never mind, let's fight it.
