If you have a phone that can take Apps,Pure Planet are very reasonable, Gas:2.762p per kwh,Electric:11.52p per kwh

Unfortunately not a very good deal for me.

Looks like Enstroga, utility point or Ebico or possibly look into outfox

Just looked at Outfox The Market.

They seem so confuse a bit. they quoted me Energy cost 5.3p, Industry charge 3.33p and Distribution 2.62p

So if you add those together is looks like 11.25p per KWh for electricity only and NO STANDING CHARGE

Well that's what they say, so it must be true? Looks like I will switch to them when I am free to do so.

They do not have a standing charge ....................... but they have a monthly membership fee .................... which is a standing charge by another name.

There have been a few comments that they assess what your annual usage will be and use that to determine the fee which is higher for higher users, guess which way their assessed use figures tend to go. If your use in fact falls into a lower band you will not get the extra back. I will be steering well clear of them.

Is outfox not on cheap energy club? Didn't come up when I did a search.

It is for me, might be a regional thing though so possible they might not cover your area.

Well, if an energy supplier has to go bust then peak summer is just the right time for customers - when energy consumption is relatively low. If you need to wait before you can switch away, at least it shouldn't cost too much.

If you don't submit meter readings on 1 Aug. then there will probably be an estimated reading used to open and close the accounts.

I see it as up to 31/7 it will be Iresa tariffs managed by the administrators and from 1/8 it will be Octopus account management. I also read it as anybody with an account in debit at the 31/7 settlement will be contacted by the administrators to pay the balance and anyone with account credit after that settlement will have it carried forward to their Octopus account. Octopus will be compensated for taking on that account credit along with any outstanding closed account credit.

I have submitted a reading today and their system has made my account up to date to that read.

I moved house over a year ago.

Iresa completely cocked up and after I long battled I was paid my credit plus compensation after going to energy ombudsman.

Out of the blue today I have received a "final meter reading" for electricity. Logging into my Iresa account shows them randomly deciding to start billing me again from November last year.

I assume this balance will be passed on to Octopus. Sounds like another case to be opened with the ombudsman.

I have never been happier to see such a vile incompetent company go under.

Probably the only company to offer to take over the IRESA clients on the terms that OFGEM found acceptable.
    Just a guess.
