Declaring August at £336.08/£400.
Helped by holidays and absent children. Expecting September to be expensive as I have to re-stock the student food boxes ready for a return to uni. The annual budget is looking healthy though so we shouldn't feel it too badly this year. I'm also expecting food spend to rise as, with the onset of Autumn, the garden will be less productive and although I've frozen loads of stuff I will need to supplement what there is.
See you on the September thread!0 -
£11.28 spent since last post.
£198.93/£155.
£43.93 over.
I'm still sure we can stay under £217 (That works out at £7/day).I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -

I also had a spend at B and M, but I can't remember for how much although it included wraps.
Total is £27.02 plus whatever the B and M spend was, I will add this later
It was actually £2.94 at Morrisons not £2.24, so I will add 70p to total.
80p spent yesterday at work and 40p spent today.
I also have a Sainsburys shop due tonight that should be about £40.65
Total £42.55 to add ... I will adjust as necessary asap.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £75.94/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Declaring now at £385.89/£400; £7.55 spent today on bananas, baking potatoes (nothing big enough dug up so far this week) and butter - didn't see that one coming, but it's Bake-Off tonight and the girls are inspired!

Morning all. I'm posting here to make me return to the thread and update my spends. I'm going on a weekend city break tomorrow so I think whatever I total up today will probably be it for August but who knows what I'll find on vacation in the next couple of days.0

This is the first month I have tried tracking my grocery spending, and am currently at £49.98 for August (single adult), and a fair bit of that was spent on food for the coming months, so I'm quite happy with that0

Got loads of stuff, mostly veggies & salad stuff, plus 7 packs of vegan margarine reduced to 22p a pack - it's actually yukville. I guess I could add salt n herbs n re-mould, or add to pasta and sauces, so it will get used, an absolute ton of mushrooms - 21 large ones to be exact - will make a load of soup and lots more. All came to £12.19. Am nearly at my total, but want advocados, courgette & cucumber. Have updated sig.0

Well, August has turned out to be a good month for me due to being on holiday in Devon for 2 weeks.
:) Lovely hotel, weather great, good food and smashing company. What's not to like? Apart from having to come home, of course!
Week 1: £41.87 and x 4 NSDs
Week 2: 0.82 and x 6 NSDs
Weeks 3/4 on holiday: £52.70 - we had booked in for BB&EM so only needed to pay for teas, coffees, snacks etc at lunchtimes. Seems a lot, but for 2 of us for 2 weeks it's probably not too bad.
Week 5 (this week): £71.50 left in the budget but very little shopping needed so I've kept £1.50 in my purse (for milk) and have moved the £70 left into next month's grocery pot. :j
Am now declaring for August and moving over to September.
I've not had much chance yet to catch up on recent posts but hope everyone's on track. Welcome newbies :hello: to the gang!Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -
Sigh... and another 65p! My beansprouts had fallen to the back of the fridge & frozen solid; they'd just turn to slimy mush on cooking, so another pack purchased for tonight's duck & plum stir-fry. But that really is IT now for August; there are trout fillets defrosting for tomorrow, and half a ton of homegrown veg to eat up with them.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0
